One of the best places I’ve slept! After a long wet day coming across the Blue Ridge Parkway on the motorcycle, my wife found this hidden gem and we decided to stop in for a room. The gentleman was very kind and courteous. The room was immaculate, clean, and big comfy beds. Other reviews mention the breakfast but unfortunately we had to leave before it was served. Will definitely go back and stay again!
Room was spotless! Owners were nice and breakfast was really good. This morning check out day and husband went to take a shower and the water would not get hot; previous morning we were both able to take a great hot shower. We weren't sure why it wouldn't get hot, but husband figured more people had checked in and were all trying to shower at the same time maybe so. It's a tiny thing in comparison to our whole stay. I liked the bed placement not being on a shared wall and the bathroom was very large! We loved how the location was in the center of everything Gatlinburg, Bryson City are very close by. My only real complaint is I wish they offered king sized beds like we have at home, but I can understand it being a family owned place and wanting to keep things simple. Overall, my husband and I would stay here again! Thanks for your hospitality!
We reserved a room online and got there 10 minutes afterwards and they didn't have what they needed from Choice yet. They asked my husband to wait. We did wait, for over 1 hour, while others checked-in and got their rooms. Finally, they rudely give us a suite in place of the room they lost. Cool, huh? Nah. TV didn't work, fireplace didn't work, and there was no Cold water, only very Hot water, so using the in-room jacuzzi was out. When they finally find us a room across the hall with hot and cold running water that we could "bathe in only", suddenly, everything in our room spontaneously started working. Sporadically, but enough. Not the best experience, but I understand that things happen. My only complaint was the unfriendly staff. I didn't meet the friendly couple mentioned in other reviews, but my husband said that the staff was nicer the next morning, and he brought me some scrambled eggs for breakfast.
The room was clean but very small. We checked in and was over charged. My husband talked to Sue the next morning, she was going to make it right, we’ll she charge us again, so we were double charged. I have talked to Mark 2 different times he was going to make it right and call me. Haven’t heard a word. And from the reviews I have read. This is nothing new.
It was clean enough. Beds were very uncomfortable. Booked a room with a king size bed on Expedia, ended up with a room with 2 full sized beds upon check in. Nothing special.Rooms: 3/5
Wonderful small motel. Very clean and great location. They had a small breakfast in the morning to that was delicious. Will diffently stay here again. Nearby activities: Close to many shops and the Cherokee museum
What separates this hotel is that you can tell there is 100% commitment to the guest’s experience. Staff was so pleasant, enjoyed a simple and clean room, and received a great home-made continental breakfast before check-out.Rooms: 5/5
This place was nice. Bathroom is bigger then any other motel I've stayed at. The hot water stayed hot for a long time longer then at home. Nice view. They had comfortable rocking chairs in the front. And in the morning homemade omelette being made. I'd stay again.Rooms: 4/5
I’ve stayed here twice on two different occasions. Mark and Sue are very efficient and accommodating. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The breakfast is definitely worth waking up for! Sue makes the BEST breakfast quesadillas! So delicious and it definitely hits the spot. Very lovely couple. And with a little luck you might see elk right outside your room door.
I found this place while motorcycling in the Smoky Mountains. What a pleasant surprise! The staff is very friendly, the room was like being home. The free breakfast was excellent. I will stop there again , Just because! ust because!!clean
