We had a nice stay. The only issue was our electrical management system would not turn on due to voltage on the ground of the power pedestal. We reported this to the management. They assured us the problem would be corrected. It was not corrected when we left three days later.
They had advertised swimming activities but when we got there, no pool and the lake wasn't swim accessible. There was nothing to do! I've been to so many better spots I recommend not coming here. I'm sorry for the negative review, but when you spend the kinda money it costs to come to a place like this, it really is a crime. Also, bathrooms were gross.
Many activities, from farmers market, bingo, dances, kid activities, outdoor movies. Owners are very nice and kind. There right on the fox river perfect for tubing. The store has hot food, soft serve ice cream and even funnel cake. Definitely a fun place and family orientated
Pretty sweet camping joint! Has a pool! Stuff to do
Nothing but drunks. Ignorant management. Nasty bathrooms and showers. I wouldn't let my dog sleep there. Barney Fife patrolling on his golf cart
Had a great time, but this place needs help! The bathrooms are always clogged and without tp or soap. People will absolutely let their kids that are younger than 6, run rampant on the playground with no supervision. I can't tell you how many times unsupervised children pushed my children or walked up to me to find their parents. Also an added bonus... we all have our political sides, but enough trump and confederate flags here please. Truly this campground doesn't feel very inclusive.
This is a campground for people mostly for RVs, some tents. If you like the crowd, if you don't need access to nature and quiet time, and you don't mind the stinky bathrooms with no airflow which most of the showers didn't work, if you easy going and just want drink beer and relax and hear music till 1 am then this is right place for you.
First of all when checking in nobody was there to check us in. We had to speak to the maintenance person for someone to tell us where to park. We had a 50 amp site and after the first day it would not work for us, it registered e-2 which is open ground. We connected our 30 amp chord and all was good on our side. I spoke to the staff and they brought someone out to look at it but said it had to be our problem all is good on there end. I asked to change campsites so that I could verify this info and they said no someone was scheduled to check into that site today. I just wanted to know if I needed to be concerned or not with my chord. That was on a Friday and we checked out on Sunday. Nobody ever checked into the site. As we were leaving I pulled my RV over to the other site and plugged it in and what do you know all was good. We could have stayed at that site for the three days. I spoke to the maintenance person when leaving to let them know that their electrical box has issues. He seemed not to care: we are now at our new site hooked up to a 50 amp and no issues. We would not stay there again.
Quiet and off highway. Did not use any facilities . No issues with power or sewer. We were in site 11 up front, had picnic table and fire pit. Alot of full time rv residents, plenty of golfcarts. We stayed 17 days and paid approximately 42 a day.
The campground itself is just fine. The bathrooms are never clean though. Both weekends we spent there this summer there were never any paper towels in the restrooms. The restrooms and the showers smell REALLY bad. There are no outlets in the bathroom where the mirror is and no mirror in the shower room where the outlets are. So no place to fix your hair if you want to dry it and use a curling iron. The water absolutely stinks! For what we pay I would think the owners could maybe do a few updates! No cell service!!!! The haunted house is a lot of fun and worth the money.
