This is a cute little place in North Omaha right on 30th St. Walking inside, it was cool and clean and they invited me to sit where ever I wanted. The place was pretty empty for 5pm on a Thursday, so I assumed it was just a little early for their usual crowd. I was greeted quickly and my soda was out in seconds. As I had never been here before I needed a few minutes to study the menu and they gave me about 5 which was what I needed. I have a tendency to grade Mexican restaurants based on their chips, salsa and guacamole. Theirs was okay. The salsa was served warm with cheese sprinkled on top which was a new one for me. I have never seen this done before. The salsa was okay, but too smooth for my tastes and being served warm really threw me off. I got a mix of both corn and flour chips. The corn chips have a seasoning on them that was rather spicy- similar to the old recipe at VooDoo Taco. I am not a fan of this so I only ate a couple of those. The flour chips are obviously made in house and they were good. Their guacamole was bright but lacked flavor. It seemed to literally just be smashed avocado and lime juice. There was no other flavor to it. No salt so I generously added my own to taste no other spices, seasonings, onions, tomato, garlic or cilantro. It definitely needed something more to make it pop. I ordered the #7, their chicken flautas. These fried rolls of soft Taco and chicken were the star of the meal. They were very good with the now salted smashed avocado to cool off the bite. Their Mexican rice was okay but the rice was not fully cooked so each grain was still a little hard in the middle. All in all it was a decent little local place. I did hear them discussing their jello shots they had apparently just made that were not set yet. They were planning to sell them 3 for $10! Those tiny things are most definitely not worth more than $3 each! Especially when you can go to another local place like Homy Inn and get them 4 for $5. I wish them luck in selling them, but that price seems wayyyy too high.
The food was decent but unfortunately several of my coworkers and I displayed symptoms of food poisoning after our visit here.
The service was good. The food was ok but no anything I would come back for again. I ordered the chicken soft taco dinner. The chicken had no flavor and even adding their hot sauce dis not help add flavor. The rice was sticky and did not have any flavor other than it tasted greasy. The beans had shredded cheese dumped on top to maybe cover-up the taste of lard in them. The parking in back only had one space so I parked across the street and walked to the restaurant.
The building smelled like mold or something. The Young man that took our order was very nice. The food not so much. The chicken enchilada was a tortilla stuffed with chicken. No cheese inside. Not flavorful. I don't even want to talk about the tamales. Just not good. I won't be back. Parking: They are working in the street so parking is minimal right now. No parking lot.
If you're looking for true authentic this is not your place. If you are looking for good food with great service and atmosphere you have come to the right spot. With a Massive taco and margaritas on the menu you can't go wrong.Food: 5/5
Great staff, great food. Haven't been here since it reopened at it's new location and it tastes just as it did before. Had the potato skin appetizer and I really liked it more than I thought I would. The regular sized taco salad was very filling, they do offer a smaller version of the taco salad. Would recommend both the potato skin appetizer and the taco salad.
I had the beef enchiladas dinner my wife had the Indian taco. The service was good the restaurant was busy. The food was great!
This is such a cute little place in the Florence neighborhood of Omaha! I fully realize this is a Mexican food place but I was craving a burger and goodness!! When it came out it was the size of a dinner plate and dwarfed the bun by A LOT! Not only was this cheeseburger HUGE but cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious!! It did take a little longer but our server said it would and she kept our drinks filled. Worth the wait!! I will for sure go back and try the other son their menu. If they can do a burger that well then the rest should be a breeze. Parking: There may have been parking behind. I didn't look but if one had to rely on street parking it might be a little difficult during busy times. I was able to park out front.
Very fast service, friendly staff and AMAZING food!! Every dish tastes different from the last, and always fresh. Great experience every time. Parking: Front street parking is under construction, park on the south side of the building or next to the bank. Well worth it even if you have to walk a block.
Absolutely terrible service. We ordered online to pick up at 7pm and arrived after coming 20 minutes from Council Bluffs to find out that they had cancelled our order without letting us know because they were out of one of the items we had ordered. No phone call to let us know and they didn’t make the remainder of the order. When my husband asked if there was anything they could do to make it right after he was drove 20 minutes each way, no food was ready on time and no notification was given of cancellation, they said if we repaid for the rest of the food again, they would make it for us!!!! Thank you for the privilege of receiving horrific customer service and wasting our time. 10 out of 10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
