Super nice Passport America RV Park for just $19.02 a night. They have 49 sites and a great pool and water slide and hot tub. Many places close by to eat.
Quick jaunt from the interstate, laundry only 3.00/load 1.50 wash, 1.50 dry and laundry open until 10. It's run out of the back of the motel, so the check in process was quick and very professional. Tent camping was $15. My only concern was that the tents butted up against a parking lot, so there were some lights that shone into our tent- however, it made us feel very safe. They do now accept all discount cards!
Good electric and water, quiet. Recommend you go to second light as where directions take you there is a very bad dip in road where u make right. I scraped bad...
There is no pool here. They advertise you can use the Days Inn pool but they charge you $5/person, which is the average cost for any public pool in Mitchell. The playground is a safety hazard, falling apart and weeds everywhere. The sites are level and work fine for the RV and the cost is decent to stay there but the entrance should be marked better. They have a large sign saying RV park and waterslide that goes through a mechanics shop parking lot and you can almost never get a camper through there, let alone a car. It needs to be clearly marked to go down to the next light past the campground and come in from the back. Also, there is no one manning the campground office anymore and they make people walk all the way around the Days inn building and check in at the hotel desk. There must be a more efficient way to advertise and inform people from out of town.
Rondee's is a campground behind the Days Inn. It was fine for an overnight at $32 all in for a pull through with 30A, water and sewer with a narrow strip of grass and a picnic table. That being said, there was nothing special about it nor would I want to actually camp here for fun it appeared to be mostly monthly tenants . Water pressure was good, electric didn't fail and I used the sewer right before I left.
We were traveling I 90 and wanted a 1 night stop. Rondees met our basic needs. We had a pull through last ng enough to accommodate both our 5th wheel and truck. We are a total of 53 ft long. We had full hookups with 50 amp. Our site had a picnic table. We had good reception with our Dish network Wally and you d Verizon signal. The campground is close to restaurants, a Walmart Supercenter, and a Menards. Check in is at the front desk of the Days Inn. They do give a discount for Good Sam and Passport America. Passport America is the better discount. Be sure to ask for it before paying. We didn't think of asking until after check in and the desk attendant tried to help but ultimately wasn't able to reverse the Good Sam and give us the better Passport America discount. Staff was as friendly and professional .
Very cheap price with Passport America discount. So you get what you pay for. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. But you have to check in through the hotel. The hotel staff was understandably annoyed with this. The site is located just off a major highway near truck stops and other motels. The indoor pool slide is probably great for kids, but I wouldn't stay more than 2 nights here. Best for an overnight stay, not a planned vacation.
Arrived quite late. Had to sign in at Days Inn front desk. The entry to the campground is kind of hidden. We thought we’d just spotted it when a worker at the campground drove up and asked if we needed help. Very friendly. The overnight stay was very quiet. There was a car and truck wash a couple hundred yards away wheee we washed our motor home. They accept Passport America so very reasonable rate
This place falls into the category of forgotten. Campgrounds. The owners are non existent and the hotel handles everything. Bathrooms rarely have toilet paper and stunk like cigarettes. Internet was non existent when they said you could stream. Decent walk though the campground but we wouldn't stay here again. The pool was great to be in water but it's in need of a cleaning as the water has a green tint to it because of the bottom being dirty and the "heated pool" is not heated.
Great little park with trees and grass. Stayed one night w 41 ft 5th wheel. Leveling wasn’t an issue on our site. Used passport America. $15 No highway noise! Car and RV wash nearby. Located behind Days Inn. Will stop here every time we can.
