Welcome to the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library, located in the heart of historic Union County New Jersey. Set in the Veterans Memorial Park and surrounded by one of a kind specimen trees, the library has a scenic vista to observe in all seasons. We are open six days a week from September to June and we close on Saturdays during the summer.

Our Children's Department with close to 10,000 volumes is a warm place for children to gather either for story hours, homework or browsing. We have computers with access to the Internet and programs designed just for youngsters.

The library offers several services to all our patrons. Daily newspapers are kept for a month. We subscribe to more than 125 magazines, with older issues able to be borrowed for a week. We have books on tape, large print books, music CD's, and movies on both VHS and DVD. There is also Internet access for the computer savvy.

Mission

Your Library Card is your passport to your library and can be used to access information from the library or at home.

Cards are free at the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library, but you will need two (2) forms of ID or one (1) picture ID (Driver's License, utility bill, personal letter, etc.). Cards are renewed every three (3) years, but you can keep the same number for as long as you live in Roselle Park.

Children’s Department:

The Children’s Department is a part of the Library but there are separate materials describing the many wonderful activities and story times. Ask at the Children’s Room desk. Children ten years old and younger must not be left unattended in the library.

If I could give a 0 I would. The Roselle Park Library used to be fun place, but teens who are most of the people that go here can’t even walk around. My child who needed to use a computer was yelled at to get out of the children’s section. When no one was even occupying it. And she can’t use the computer downstairs cause they aren’t allowed there either. And teens can’t even go and read books at their reading level because all the adult books are downstairs where they aren’t allowed to go either. This needs to improve.

I want to express my gratitude towards RPL,  affording me an  opportunity to take Google Computer Classes.  My instructor  works here at the Library.  She is  professional, extremely  talented,  computer genius,  knowledgeable of systems, i.e. IPhones, HP etc. She has instructor patience beyond words.  The opportunity is perfect, as I need to continue education and stay active.  I totally enjoy learning & refreshing my education.  Thanks to RPL, & their generous spirit here for every age group, helping others, kindness does go a long way!  I highly recommend these classes, to enhance not only your brain but your self-confidence.  Thank you to  Roselle Park, RPL,  Staff, especially "Jenna"!

I take my 2yo son to the kids activities during the week, and i go study once or twice a week on my own; everyone there is so helpful and treat my son so well. I’m very happy and thankful for the ladies that work there, they always say hello and are very attentive to anyone who needs help. 

Always have a great experience there. If books aren’t available but in other library catalogs, you can place a hold and they from usually show up in a few days. Kids section is great and the whole place was redone recently. Looks great all around.

I was having a terrible day, truly one of the worst. I had to print documents out and drove to Walgreens and CVS and they couldn’t do it so I called the library and she said to come on over. Didn’t even need a library card to print documents. I was in a blaze of stress and anxiety and the printing process was so easy. I didn’t get the librarians name but she was really sweet with short hair and saved the day.

Wonderful small town library with friendly staff.  The amount of free programs being offered has increased. This affords residents with various schedules to participate at some point during the week.  All around great library to visit!

If I could give a half star I would me and my friend olivia go every day and one day they closed at 5:00 it was 4:50 and my mom was coming to get me and my friend at 4:55 and the lady said common guys get out the library’s closing and we said but there’s still 10 minutes and the librarian said “well we would like to get home on time” that was really annoying me and Olivia would not recommend it  it’s trashy a bit  and really boring. Also once we left a bean by accident on a small table and 2 months later the bean was still there that proves they don’t clean at all.  -Olivia and Angie

A great staff with a professional support. The place perfect for children, has an elevator so you can move with your baby stroller easily.

Friendly professional staff members with great customer service. Whenever I enter the library I'm always greeted in a timely manner with a smile.
