Visit the Grandeur of a Bygone Era, here in beautiful Pueblo Colorado! Tours available!

"The grandeur of a bygone era awaits you at Rosemount, a Victorian house museum offering guided tours. The five-story, 24,000 square-foot mansion was the home of prominent Pueblo businessman John A. Thatcher and his family. Built in 1893, the mansion showcases 85 percent of its original furnishings, accessories, decorative arts, custom craftsmanship and more. It is a grand example of where the fashionable East met the rugged West in the late 19th century. The museum is closed during the month of January every year for cleaning and repairs. Closed all major holidays. Last GUARANTEED tour of the day begins at 2:30 pm. Call ahead if planning a late afternoon tour."

This is an absolutely beautiful mansion and very unique. Originally built as a home in 1893 by the John A. and Margaret Thatcher family, this house has 37 bedrooms, and the estate covers an entire block. The Thatcher family resided in the mansion for 75 years. Almost all the original custom woodwork, paintings, and furnishings are original to the way the Thatcher family enjoyed it. I will post photos of the interior when they become available.
I haven't been here since I did field trip in middle school in the '80s lol. I forgot how amazing this little museum is in the amount of history it has for our cool little town of Pueblo. Really enjoyed my tour. Highly recommend doing this, especially if you've never done it or it's been a while.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$6–10
Parents not really for children because they can't touch any thing and neither can you. The history really want that interesting.. no juicy gossip or fun information. Just a family that lived there. Parents good if your over 55. Price is good for the tour,Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
I just finished my private tour with tourguide Shirley who was an absolute treat and full of so much knowledge of the home. I was absolutely taken aback by the beauty of this place. Ive toured several other victorian mansions but this one takes the cake. Every room is in pristine condition and the beauty of each room is breathtaking. I wont give details because every person deserves to visit and see it for themselves. I will say the dining room was the glimmering diamond of the house and my personal favorite. I will be returning very soon with others!
An absolute historical treasure located in the heart of Pueblo. This mansion with its 25,000+ sq.ft. of beauty is as good as it gets as historical mansions go. Also, a very informative tour with people who really care about this mansion and its history.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$6–10
Didn't get to go in as they just closed. Took pictures and will post them later. Fabulous building from the outside with a Carriage house in back on the next street. Definitely a have to go back moment.
The mansion is luxurious and worth seeing. The tour I received was not well presented and answers were vague or unknown, so that was a disappointment. I still give 5 stars because the mansions interior design and details which can't be photographed spoke for themselves.
Extremely well preserved mansion. Didn't expect to see this level of 19th century comfort in Pueblo CO. Our guide " Seamus" brought us back to the 1890s to relive the Thatcher's life. Great docent!!
I've lived here in Pueblo for over 10 years and only recently discovered this incredible gem. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, they should be very proud. I'm ashamed it took me this long to enjoy this treasure here in my town. A must see,Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
Beautiful home! Tour was ok. Wish theytour guides were more knowledgeable about the house. They give a good history of the family however. Definitely a Pueblo historical showplace. They don't allow photo taking inside of house. There is a small gift shop. The old carriage house is a restaurant on the grounds.
