About Us
Santa Fe, NM is proud to be the home of many diverse small to medium sized businesses. Our niche is working with these businesses so they do not need to have an accountant on their staff. We also provide bookkeeping services to businesses outside of Santa Fe and to individuals across the country who do not have the time to handle their own day to day financial matters. Clients can meet with us at our offices or their location, or mail paperwork to us and talk with us over the phone.
As financial professionals, we can help you understand the importance of a budget, inventory and cash flow in the planning stages of your business, taking a strategic tact so there are no surprises down the road. We can reconcile your financial accounts, provide budgeting assistance and organize your financial documents and information in preparation for annual taxes. We are aligned with several local tax preparation firms and can hand off your business or personal documentation to them for tax preparation.
We can help you get your business registered appropriately across Federal and State agencies, set up your chart of accounts to meet your specific business needs, handle your payroll and the accounting of your sales, expenses and assets, and develop special financial reports for your team - over and above the typical financial statements any bookkeeping software can provide. Our Team
Michelle Cooper is the owner of Rosewood Accounting Services. She began working with Barbra and has now taken over the business after Barbra’s passing in April of 2016. Michelle earned her Accounting Degree from Luna in 1997 and has many years of experience working with a diverse group of clients in the local Santa Fe community and across the country. She helped build Rosewood Accounting business based on her integrity, honesty and hard work and continues to grow the company based on those standards. She believes that the commitment of the Team at Rosewood Accounting is the reason for the company’s continued growth and success.
Linda Booth joined Rosewood Accounting in March of 2016 on a part-time basis. Linda’s accounting background is in the field of manufacturing, software development, property management and construction. She left her 70 hour per week career in Minnesota in July of 2014 to move to Santa Fe with her husband. When asked why she will tell you that the beautiful desert and mountains and temperate climate beat the -40º wind chill and mosquito's that are Minnesota. Her career in Minnesota included most recently working for a climbing wall manufacturing company for 11 years as accounting and operations manager where she was responsible for budgeting, cash flow, production, operations, monthly financial and production reporting to the President and the CEO, as well as managing the accounting and customer service teams.
Ashley Pacheco is working part-time at Rosewood Accounting while attending school to get her accounting degree. Ashley is Michelle’s daughter and will join the team full-time when she completes her education. Under the tutelage of Michelle, Ashley has learned the basics of bookkeeping and has been working with Michelle for 2 years but has helped for the past 5 years. Ashley looks forward to carrying on the tradition of excellence that is Rosewood Accounting for many years to come.
