I had an extraordinary experience today in this store because of 2 people & one of them was a young man by the name of Maurice who works in the fitting room!! I walked up to him and asked him where something was because I couldn't find it. Maurice went out of his way upon me asking for assistance, he led me directly to something I was looking for. He didn't just point he went the distance as I wasn't familiar with this store in particular I appreciated his kindness & hospitality. Angela was my cashier & she was so attentive to detail! What a kind person & one who went above and beyond my expectations. I am very thankful for great professionals who work with passion such as displayed here with Angela.
My sister’s experience at Ross in Schereville: I don’t normally shop at this location, but today I decided to try this location and had a bad experience. When going to try on things in the fitting room with my infant son in his stroller, the worker, Debbie counts my items then takes the toy from my son. I stopped her in the process and asked what was she doing. She begins to tell me that he can not take the toy in the fitting room and that it was store policy. I then asked could I speak to a manager, the manager came and I asked her for a copy of the policy. She then pages someone to get the copy, but the lady comes out without the copy and grabs a clipboard to read the policy to me. The manager then tells me that I can’t have a copy, I asked if the policy is online and she states, “it is not, we can’t give that information out”. One, I felt disrespected by Debbie because you should not be taking anything out of my child’s hand. Two, I felt like this had to do with race because Debbie is Caucasian and me, I am black. The only other black individual was no help and walked away from the situation. Three this has not happened to me before at my normal Ross location and Ross has been my favorite store for years. And lastly, because of this experience I could not purchase anything and will not be returning.
11/6 lines, lines, lines. Somewhat cold, robot like cashiers. The manner of in which the cashiers invite shoppers to their registers, the touchless transaction, all feel very much like Ross could go into the Amazon Go model and no one would notice the employees weren't there. The store wasn't super orderly and clean either. ‍‍ maybe it was an off day? Guess we'll see next time.
I was looking for a new top, but they are always out of my size. It seems that the plus size is hit hard when looking for anything to wear. I did finally find a grey top.
Almost a 20 minute wait in line and one person working the register. Another worker finally walked up with no urgency to open another register. I saw at least 2 people step out of line and walk out bc of the wait. Very poorly managed.
After shopping for a long time for a job interview I arrived in the back at the changing rooms to find that they are blocked off and closed with no explanation. I checked in front by the entrance, no sign. I spoke with the manager who did her best but she explained that she isn’t allowed to post ANY sign to let people know what’s going on anywhere in the store. This is from upper management. She is short staffed and so busy and that’s why it is closed. I watched countless people arrive to try things on only to be confused and frustrated. I wasn’t the only person she had to explain it all to. I’m sad for the staff here and frustrated by this waste of time.
Maybe it's not the store's fault but the customer service is not adequate for the amount of people that shop in this store. 1 or 2 people is the most that are available to ring people up. Hire more people and you'll run a better store.
The closing Mgr at this store is very unprofessional and needs work on how to be civil to the customers. She's and older lady with glasses. She would make me rate the store with zero stars. She walks by with a stare like you are below her. She seems to not like her job much from the incident that happened. She singled my family out. About smelling perfumes and over the intercom she could have politely said it to us we was the only ones there. She made our shopping experience uncomfortable. But the young man by the fitting room I believe his name was Amahd he was awesome very polite and helpful the so called manager should take tips from him. This was our first time at this location and last. We was there Oct 9th at around 845pm. I will be calling the corporate office asap.
10/25 7:30pm older lady with glasses was rude to my mother. My mom went straight into the dressing rooms to try on just clothes and the lady came up to us to ask if we had a clothing number, when we said no, no one was working the dressing room this lady scuffed and rolled her eye at us. She continued to tell us what to do with our clothes after we were done as if we worked here and walked away. Didn’t even ask if we needed any assistance or anything. Came back a second time and when she saw us she rolled her eyes again. When we were ready to check out the younger lady at the cash register said nothing to us, made no eye contact, rang us up and literally said take your receipt thanks. These workers were very rude, very cranky and very very unprofessional. Worst experience I ever had here.
Ross is very good place to shop at! They have very nice things for good prices. Personally I only shop at this location because it’s close to me. It’s not organized, there is a mess everywhere! Not big fan with the staff on the register. I hate it when your paying, and they have to give you money back they don’t count the money back, they just hand it to you. And when your trying to count the money, or get your bags they are already calling the next person in line.
