Ross is a joke at medical facilities. If a mistake is made they laugh and ask if you went to Ross. It's embarrassing and the only job I could get after going to Ross was at a plasma center. Luckily the plasma center trained me better. I got straight A's at Ross and "graduated" head of the class, but nobody wanted to hire me due to that school. It was very disappointing.
I love Ross! It's been such a great experience and I cannot WAIT to go to my externship and get a hands on experience with them. My daughter graduated from here and she is doing great things! Once I'm graduated my husband will be joining Ross and I am just so excited for our family!! So glad we came here!
Since I’ve started here and now it’s my last, I’ve had a blast! I love the instructors here. Especially Miss Holly!! She’s an amazing instructor! She provided the whole class and I with amazing information for my position! I wish I could stay longer, but I did my time and it’s time to go show my skills and knowledge off!! Anyone that is looking to get your foot in the door... coming here will definitely be worth it! I truly had so much fun here!
Ross has many good programs here at the Roosevelt campus. I have been in enrolled in the MIBOA program and I am learning a lot from the class. This has been a very busy time for me on furthering my career here since being downsized at my previous job. I would recommend this school for anyone looking find a great career. The Roosevelt campus has many people that are friendly and helpful.
When it comes to the clinical aspect of Ross, I think I am confident in going out into the field, when it comes to the administrative portion though, I am not nearly as confident as I should be. I feel as if I was not properly trained in this and feel as though that will reflect poorly on me and Ross as well. Everything else, seems fast paced, and friendly.
I loved the school, teachers and opportunity but there are definitely some places for improvement. Especially w/how professional everyone should be in the school. There is a lot of situations I came across where things should have been addressed and nipped in the bud so the school wouldn't give off a sort of "ghetto" vibe. I just feel that if you want the students to have excellence there and after, there needs to be a bigger line drawn between friendship and professionalism.
My time at Ross has been great, for the most part. It has helped to make me realize that I made the right decision and this is definitely the field that I want to be in. However, I have to talk about the instructor change halfway through a module. The students had no idea what was going on, we just started having substitutes. First it was only for one day, next thing we knew it was for the whole rest of the module. That really wasn't fair to us. The next mod we got a new instructor who has never taught before. The only thing that I've heard, over and over, is that "this is similar to things that happen in the health care field, we're preparing you", etc. The students aren't in the healthcare field yet, we're at school. To learn everything we need to in order to be successful medical assistants. In my opinion the instructor change brought my success down a little and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get through the rest of school. I think that the students should be warned as far ahead of time as possible so we can prepare for something this drastic.
I Absolutely Love It! The teachers and staff at Ross make's my experience fun, educational and i feel right at home! Ross Is The Best.!
I enjoyed the EMIBOA class because it helps me understand my job better seeing as though I came into an entry level position with no medical experience. I've have been able to even help others at work in the same boat as myself and enable myself to advance to more challenging positions.
During this time of year I get to spend so much with family that I only get to see on the holidays. Happy to spend so much time with the amazing people I get to call family. Always remember it's not all about the presents or what you get for Christmas, it's about the great memories and new times to have with everyone. Your always in my heart. Love you all.
