I camped with my mom for a couple of nights so we could attend a nearby family reunion. Due to mobility issues, she needed an electric spot and reserved one that was identified as disabled, which was perfect. All of the spots are a nice distance from each other, so you don't feel cramped and you can enjoy yourselves - you can't even hear neighboring campers' music or conversations. It's a short walk or drive to the swimming area. The bathrooms do include heated showers! I have just loved staying up to 9:30 to watch the sunsets! I would definitely love to return here I currently live in AZ. Restrooms: Maintained at least daily, clean, and include heated showers!
We've been coming to Roy Lake every summer when my parents camp. It's beautiful. Clear water, beach like shores, not real rocky. Nice campgrounds and facilities.
Best state park in South Dakota for families. Nice facilities, wonderful lake and beach, good playground, nice little island trail, fun disc golf course. Playground: Newer and safe playground. Restrooms: Always clean. Hot showers.
Great park, lots of shade and ants!
Clean, quite, nice camping pads, beautiful lake. We stayed during the week so less campers but it was a perfect get away. Play grounds for kidos, clean restrooms, an abundance of picnic areas and tent sites.
Beautiful campground! Hiking/walking trails, bird watching, fishing, swimming, so many things to do around this well maintained campground, will definitely be returning again.
Cabin said sleeps 6, it only slept 5. The couch did not fold out to sleep on. Wanted to rent pontoon but it was 255 pm and they only rent them at 9am or 2pm. Think for price of cabin it should come with one parking pass.
An extremely peaceful and serene place. Been coming here for 20+ years and it's always been a fantastic spot to hang out. The fishing is plentiful. The water is always beautiful. The cabins are perfect and the people are friendly.
This place was great. The only reason I'm not giving it five is I went online to reserve a spot and it said all of them were taken except two or three. When I got there there was only two or three being used it was almost empty. The people at the lodge were very friendly and helpful. They also have a West and East camping area with a area supervisor I guess. Everyone there was very friendly and nice including the other patrons.
Beautiful lake. Clean sites and facilities. People were nice and respectful. Just a great place to camp.
