The rock garden is quite interesting, multi tiered with lots of hidden paths to give a sense of adventure. The gardens are well maintained ans the flowers and plants are pretty. In the fountains it appears they've added a tuny bit of an organic blue dye to water as a decorative touch. A nice relaxing way to spend the afternoon.
Absolutely lovely. If you like gardens at all, you will love this. And so amazing to think it's a rare example of people actually improving on nature even more so when you realise this was an ugly gravel pit 100 years ago. Many spectacular specimens and a very soothing ambience overall.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This was my first trip to the botanical gardens. My wife and I had an amazing time. The workers there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They will answer all your questions, with enthusiasm. The rose garden was the feature when we were there. It was beautiful. They also have some nice wilderness trails. All the unique trees have a little sign at the bottom, so you can easily identify the species. The rock garden was also a huge highlight of the trip. You can easily spend a whole day at the gardens. If you are looking to spend a nice day with your special partner when in Burlington or Hamilton. You don't want to miss the royal botanical gardens.
Beautiful rock garden with extremely friendly staff. The front desk was extremely patient and thorough about where to go since we went here before RBG. Was super peaceful and the views were spectacular. FYI, you can get 15% off if you have your presto. So in total for both access to the rock garden and RBG it was $16.50.
Beautiful terraced gardens with a wide variety of flowers and trees. There are wide pathways and steps to each level and plenty of benches and chairs to sit down for an extended viewing of areas. Lovely water feature with lily pads and a small waterfall off to the side running into the pond area.
This was a nice experience. The tickets were about 20 a person and you had access to more than 1 garden. They sell water and wines inside, great service. The flowers are beautiful, some of the flowers that were planted were not in season so they did not bloom as yet. Most of the washrooms were very dirty.Visited onWeekend
The beauty of rock garden is a must-see place in Royal Botanical Garden. Please be mindful that there are limited parking spots, and those are very narrow. There is a booth in front where your tickets get scanned. There are decent seating options to enjoy natural beauty. The place is well maintained and gives you a soothing feel all over.
Splendid! Best time for visit is early morning or closer to sunset. Garden is not big but so well designed and packed with beautiful plants trees and flowers, that you can easily spend hours walking hidden trails, watching water flows and relaxing at viewpoints.
Very beautiful garden with lovely animals, butterflies and a lily pond. It’s a perfect place to relax for the weekend.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful, there are so many different species of plants and trees, with little waterfall and pond in the garden. Beautiful place to unwind! Though this is a small garden, unlike what on the map seems to be a large place. And also look for bunnies and little rabits and hares hopping around the garden, along chipmunks and different little birds.
