Royal Funeral Home has been serving Coahoma County and surrounding counties since 1939 and has been an ongoing family tradition. The first owner was a dynamic business man and entrepreneur, the Rev. R.L. Drew. He was an active advocate for Civil Rights, a pastor, founder of Friendship Credit Union, and a funeral home owner. That's how the name started as Royal Funeral System & Burial Insurance. After the passing of Rev. R.L Drew, ownership passed down to Bernice Trotter. She was also an active person in the community but her health began to fail. Upon passing, the funeral home tradition passed down to her daughter, Etrula Trotter, which was short lived. So, after years of passing the torch, Marshall and Bobbie Fair gained ownership and business has remained successful for years to come. Marshall gained his eternal wings on June 20, 2008, which left Bobbie and her children in charge. The business still continued to blossom throughout the years. Bobbie was known for her expertise in floral arrangements and was respected in the community. Bobbie gained her eternal wings on November 5, 2016, which left the business with a new leader in charge, Bradford W. Fair, Sr. The family tradition is continuing to thrive throughout the Clarksdale and surrounding communities and has been renamed to Royal Funeral Home, LLC. We are here to serve those during their most difficult times and helping others to plan ahead.
