We went to Royalton Ravine the other day, and it was very nice. When arriving, there is a pretty decent sized stone lot for parking and also another smaller one a little further into the park. There is also a bunch of small rooms scattered in the front of the park with a pavilion attached to them. I'm guessing you can rent them but not completely sure. And there is also a bathroom at the entrance a little passed the lots. After you pass the lots, there is a pond that has some benches around it with some pretty nice views. If you're going to see the waterfall, FOLLOW THE RED MARKERS! We couldn't find any directory telling you which color marker to follow, but luckily someone there told us, and once we found out, it was very easy to find. There is a decent sized hill, you have to walk up to reach the waterfall so keep that in mind also. Its probably about a 15-20 min hike both ways to reach waterfall give or take. Be careful to keep an eye out for snakes as we do have 3 poisonous snakes in NY.. Overall it's a beautiful little waterfall, and definitely worth checking out! And even if your just coming to sit by the pond or walk the trails, it's still worth the stop Playground: No Restrooms: Yes, handicap accessible, with a few stalls, there was only one sink. The only bad part about that bathroom was that they did not have a mirror Dog-friendliness: Yes plenty of people brought their fur babies! Picnic area: Yes, unlimited picnic areas
Looks like some remodeling is being done. Nice park. Well maintained. Lots of options for a picnic , decent restrooms
Royalton ravine is awesome, there are so many cool aspects of the trails. The wooden bridge is so much fun and some of the stone building ruins are really cool. This is definitely one of my favorite hikes!
Played a round of disc golf early a.m. here with some friends and my daughter. Well kept place, nice course and some friendly and welcome wildlife.
Nice big open park and plenty of walking trails. The best part is the disc golf course. It is a very technical course since it's all in the woods, but it's a fun one.
Beautiful well kept park that is very serene with great pond for fishing and a nicely kept disc golf course among other things. Has easy access bathrooms.
Was not looking for this park but I still moved upon it by mistake and decided to check it out with my son. I was very surprised at how cool the trails are here. My son enjoyed it thoroughly and even proclaimed that he loved nature in the middle of the trail walk. Since he made it a whole hour hiking I would say this place has a five-star review as far as I'm concerned. There's probably a lot more to this place than I got to check out. Also there were signs that said the lookout for ticks and Lyme disease so you should be prepared if you go to this park and take some anti-tick sprays and or close so they can't hitch a ride. Check out this place
Nice and peaceful trail to walk. There are many loops and small trails within the park
Just call it a Disc Golf Course. The trails are horribly marked, vans you get lost on the endless disc golf course. If disc golf is your thing, it's probably cool. Bathrooms are really nice, and the pond is pretty. But if you're going for a hike, don't forget to pack your potty mouth.
A wonderful place to go on a hike with scenic vies of the ravine and a waterfall. The suspension bridge was very cool. The hike down and then back out of the ravine is a good challenge for all ages and skill levels. There is a lot to see and many trails to follow. Not recommended to do with strollers as there are many tree roots and some muddy spots.
