The mission of Royse City ISD is to provide meaningful and innovative educational experiences that cultivate a passion for learning.
Royse City is located in a rural, yet growing area located 30 miles east of Dallas. You can enjoy the slower pace of a small community while never being more than 30 minutes away from the entertainment and nightlife of downtown Dallas. With several local restaurants to choose from and shopping just 10 minutes away, you are never far from anything you may need. There is also a wide variety of colleges in the area to choose from; Texas A&M-Commerce, SMU, Eastfield, & Collin County Community Colleges all within a 20 to 40 minute drive.
RCISD encompasses 74.48 square miles and claims a tri-county boundary: Rockwall, Collin, and Hunt Counties. Even in theslower economic climate we are currently facing, the enrollment in Royse City ISD has continued to climb.
All campuses in the district are accredited by the Texas Education Agency and our secondary campuses by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. From kindergarten to high school diverse special programs are available to support the regular curriculum, gifted and talented, and special needs.
