Not sure why there are no other dogs here, since there seems to be nothing fundamentally wrong with the off-leash areas. The 3-section dig park is at the back of the park and not visible from the parking lot. Being directionally challenged with two possible paths to the back, chose the wrong one and had to walk back for the path not taken. My friend had reconnoitred the place earlier that day and didn't see any dogs either. So, what did others know about the place that we didn't?
Well maintained. Tons of parking and usually pretty empty. Definitely less crowded than LA paws, I would recommend puppies to come to this one instead of la paws. Nicer people and dogs here. Tons of shades and love the bushes : the only down side is too many flies…
Very nice medium sized dog park with multiple water stations and an obstacle/training course. Small and large dog area with gravel and trees separating some of the park which was great for dogs to chase each other while playing. Parking is good and there are bathrooms for humans near the parking area.
I love this dog park the only issue that I have being a disabled person, is the walk that is required to get to the dog park from the parking lot. For most people it would not be difficult at all but for somebody with my disabilities it makes it a little more challenging, but the park itself is beautiful, well-kept, and the people that I’ve met so far that bring their dogs to play are very friendly.
Nice little area since an entrance to the Tijeras Creek Trail is also here. Tidy and a great place to take a rest any of the benches. Bathrooms are pretty clean, my dog likes coming here
This is not just a dog park, it is a park for kids and people as well. There public restrooms a baseball diamond, that the Little League uses and a soccer field. This park is well maintained and there are lots of parking. It is in a very nice area. The restrooms are clean and actually smell nice.
Yeah, pretty lame for a dog park. Poop in the grass cause whoever was there before could not be bothered to pick it up but then i saw that the park didn't supply dog bags like they should so that could be why the poop was there. Altho people should bring their own bags. The agility equipment sucked. Due to vandalism half of it was missing like no catwalk and I had to tie my dogs jumping line across the jumper just so she could do her jumping and there was no water for the dogs that I found. It didn't make for a fun time. I was disappointed lol. Overall as a dog park it sucks. The dog park off Felipe is much better and looks better and popular, now I know why.
Very clean and upkept... Need more dogs there though!
This is a well maintained, unique, beautiful dog park. There's two separate areas so small/timid dogs can avoid the bigger/excited dogs. There's shaded seating for the people and water stations for the pups. It's a bit of a walk to get in, but it's very pretty with big trees. There's some agility equipment, which is pretty cool and fun for the dogs. There's natural landscaping in the middle of the big dog area that essentially makes a 2nd big dog area, but it also makes it hard to see what your dog's doing so that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The only other negative is it's on the small side, but it's usually not crowded. Overall, definitely recommend.
Park closes at DUSK, not 8pm like what the hours said on here. Decent park. It has kind of two sides to it for the large dog park which I appreciate. There's definitely more poop here than at other parks in the area. It says they close for maintenance Mondays 7am-12pm, but they definitely didn't pick up the poop this past Monday! Overall, it's a pretty ok park that usually isn't that busy.
