Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

First time here...it's family picnic style seating. That's not what I expected. They did not have cornbread, which I thought was weird for a BBQ place. They had sliced regular white or wheat bread. It's not a great choice in the bread dept. A lot of people don't eat bread these days, but if you're expecting to get dinner rolls or cornbread, this isn't the place. Just my rant. Otherwise, the food was pretty good. The meat was delicious and a little messy as BBQ is expected to be. Would definitely go back for that. The Cole slaw was ok. The cream corn was pretty good. I really liked the banana pudding, if only it had more than one slice of banana in it . The atmosphere was nice and pretty quiet. A lot of families dining together. I would go back and would recommend this place if you're ok with picnicking in the city. I would take my family there or dine with friends. Hope this helps you out and enjoy if you go. Kid-friendliness: Family style dining so picnic tables to keep the kids at the table. I don't think they had French fries and no nuggets on their menu, just FYI for those picky eaters.

Absolutely amazing food. Awesome people. Rudy’s has some delicious bbq as well as amazing sides. Their deserts are on point. The dining area is cool and enjoyable. This is a place I’ll continue to come.Food: 5/5

Based on all the hype and foot traffic, I had high hopes for this place but was left severely underwhelmed. There was very little flavor to be had in the food for a bbq place. Either they normally don't season the food or it was an off day but several of the items ordered left much to be desired. If this is your cup of tea, by all means enjoy it, but personally I will be going elsewhere for more authentic, flavorful bbq food.

This place is really nicely decorated and it was quiet there. The food was hot and the staff were ready to serve us. Overall, this place has a great atmosphere. I got the sausage burrito, and it was delicious. I would definitely consider going here again

Rudy's is simply amazing pulled pork sandwich and their signature sissy sauce is my all time favorite! The establishment is clean and comfortable. Set up like a picnic buffet table but indoors the cozy atmosphere. Self-Serve utensils and condiments as well as fountain drinks. If you haven't gone and you pass one in your travels, stop it's worth every bite!

Wonderful job on the food. This was the first time we have visited Rudy's and we will be visiting again. The brisket sandwich was absolutely outstanding. The loaded baked potato with brisket was phenomenal. It is hard to find a great quality smoke house but I would definitely recommend that if anyone is craving something absolutely outstanding they should go to Rudy's.

I was not impressed with this establishment. The baby back ribs were dry and served luke warm. The beans were pinto beans with no cornbread. Cream corn was okay. I really had a hard time finishing my meal. The only thing I enjoyed was the Coca Cola with Peach purée was on point and was the best thing I had a this restaurant. Parking: Great parking.

The food here is amazing! Rudy's country store and barbecue is so confident you will love their food that they offer samples before you buy! I went in for brisket but when I tasted the tender, juicy, and smokey turkey, I had to get that as well. The meats here are sold by the pound and you can buy however much you want. They do not sell "meals" for one price; everything is a la carte. You buy exactly what you want in the quantity you want. If you're a brisket lover, definitely go for the "moist brisket"! It is so well marbled and flavorful and it melts in your mouth. If you're going for less fat, they also have a lean brisket that costs $2 less a pound, but for me, brisket must be marbled. The fat adds to the flavor and it is smoked so well that it mostly melts right into the meat. The creamed corn tastes fresh from the cob and thickly creamy. I didn't try any of the cold sides or the desserts. I will definitely be going back here again!
