It's definitely a place, and you definitely CAN by clouthing there but the real question is SHOULD you? There clouthing is vary cute and colorful. Often following the microtrends of fashion at the time. They are not a place to buy basics everything they have is a statement piece or jeans. The clothing is cheap but not for what it is. I do not see many of the items being fashionable for more than 6 months due to it's strong lean into what ever the current micotrend is within the fast fashion industry. Beside this corporation's issues as a whole the way this story is set up is weird also. It has a huge dividing wall in the middle that just breaks up the space in an odd way. The works here are genuine and kind though. They really seem to understand what kind of people come into their store and know how to cater to there needs or at least they crew working when I visited did. Over all I would not recommend shopping here but go visit to observe the odd architecture.
So I retired from retail many years ago so I am kind of a harsh critic when it comes to shopping at stores and I had stopped coming to this rue21 for a long time because it was so messy and the staff was rude but let me tell you, that has changed y’all!!! This store is tiny and outdated but as far as merchandising and the clothing it has improved 100% from my last visit over a year ago. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and who I’m assuming was the manager, greeted me with her name, which was Tyler or maybe Taylor, my memory isn’t great. She told me about the $5 sweaters and she gave me a sample of one of the perfumes, when so told her I wasn’t a fan of sweet she sprayed me a coconut one and then even some guys ones which I ended up like the Revert. I would have paid this young lady anything to join my team back in the day. She was just the sweetest thing. The other 2 young ladies working were very friendly also and offered me help throughout my time in the store. I called my granddaughter that goes to Iowa and told her to come and shop all the good deals and she said her and her friends would come down tomorrow. I will be posting this review everywhere I can because I know how many people like to complain instead of praise and this team deserves all the praise in the world. Great job and thank you for turning one of my go to stores around so I can enjoy it again.
A great place to buy everyday cologne and perfume; I prefer their brand above Bath and Body Works. You can buy a bottle of about 4 or 5 oz for about $12, and it’s fragrance lasts for awhile throughout the day.
Received pretty abysmal customer service here yesterday. I wanted to get 2 pairs of jeans that were on sale buy 1 get 1 free but one of the pairs they were out of my size. No big deal I thought, I'll just go to the register and see if they could ship the jeans to me. They told me they couldn't do it from the register and to get the sale price I would have to order both pairs online through their website. I thought it was odd they couldn't just order them for me but I pulled out my phone anyway and couldn't find the jeans on their website. Handed my phone to the clerk and she couldn't find them either, so I left empty handed. The whole time this is happening the attitude I'm getting was making me feel more like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. I will not be coming back here anytime soon, at least not to this specific rue 21.
This place had a great selection of shirts pants and clothes for both my wife and myself.
Love this place for my boys its definitely a teen store for what's in style today!! They love it!!
The clothing here is very affordable but you get what you pay for.
