Very dissatisfied with the rug doctor. Hired it from their outlets for 24 hours. Used with their spot remover detergent as well as their pre treatment for stains. This was a water stain which had been left a few weeks. The rug doctor did nothing and it still looks the same. Yes the rug doctor removed dirt which can't be seen from the carpet and the water ran brown when emptying out the tank. But no good for stains. We are now hiring professional carpet cleaners to come and do the job for the same price if hired and purchased the soaps for. Won't be using again.Service: General carpet cleaning
Brilliant machine. Renovated our old carpet back to former glory. Saved us a fortune. We had thought of getting a new carpet but thought we'd try the rug doctor machine rental first. Glad we did. Cost about £23 for the machine rental and £10.99 for the detergent for two rooms. Collected from locker in local on Asda. Very simple.
I rented a rug doctor to clean my new flats carpet. Upon bringing it home and opening it that’s when things went downhill. The machine stank of a bad odour, you can see it has not been cleaned as it’s filthy and mucky water from previous customer left in there. Not only was the machine terrible at cleaning but also left dirt marks on my carpet. The handheld tools was damaged which meant I can’t use it. I called customer service who said I can return this machine and get another one. Went and got a replacement machine which again was filthy and this time this machine would leak water so my carpet is drenched now and it’s been 24 hours and it’s still not dry. Terrible product wouldn’t even get it even it was free. With corona I thought they would extra precautions to clean the machine which they haven’t. ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH!!! NOT COVID PROFF
No stars for a company that is happy to take your money however never there to support the end user when there is an issue with the machine.I have phone 11 times...get to next in qué and then I am cut.off. Wish I had never bought a Rug Doctor,no support when you need it,next machine will be another make.Hideous company.
We hire a Rug Doctor every year to freshen up our carpets. It does an excellent job, cleans them up really well and we always use a generic carpet cleaner as their own seems to smell unpleasant.
I have been hiring these do clean carpets for around 10 years, the machines are thorough, powerful and get right into the fibres, often removing stubborn marks really well - I would not use any other type of carper cleaner for normal domestic carpets. I booked one today but had to cancel at last minute - full refund given no questions and politely handled. Excellent product and excellent customer service. You could do with sorting out the hose attachement a bit, guys, try to reduce leaks when switching to hand held, and it's a bit heavy, but overall, good.
Dirty machine, great customer service and great end result! We hired the machine from a Tesco which was nice and easy. The machine was filthy however this was out of hours and nothing could be done, we took the brave move of investigating why it was not working ourselves and found the machine thickly clogged with what looked like yellow jelly. After this the machine worked great and the next day the carpets looked fantastic! Spoke with customer services who were very apologetic and issued a full refund that I did not even have to ask for, seems the person before may have abused the machine a little. I’d advice to always give the brush a good clean before using the machine as let’s be honest the person before probably did not clean it! Thanks, used on a beige carpet and thick great rug that were filthy from a party!
