Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino

Nice experience! 5$ general admission with no cover from sun or rain or 15$ and up for cover/tables. We didn't need the cover because we would just go inside to look around and place bets. Then go outside to see the race. If placing bets, you'll have to buy a catalog for 5$. It's a must do and fun!

Love this track. Beautiful Lincoln County. Pine trees, mountains, afternoon showers, evening lightning lights up the sky AND I get to watch quarter horses and thoroughbreds run..... wait... I can bet on those horses too, what is this place? Heaven? No, Ruidoso Downs which is pretty close to heaven.

I did not like any of slot machines. They money like it was water. And they were hard to decipher. I like the old timing atmosphere and the Billy the kid motif. Took a few pictures and enjoyed the scenery's.

Fun place with cheap bets possible. Great family fun. Food and drinks available. There is also a variety of seating to choose from. The upper area is shady and had a nice cool breeze blowing through when we were there. Great views! I would suggest prepurchasing tickets online.

The track is very well maintained. The stables could use some updating but this is a beautiful facility!

We had long weekend of family Bday festivities, came up to the races & the Stoney Larue concert. Both times were amazing & the employees made the difference. From Melody first time she bartender, Robin whom got our whole section at the track, to sing HB to my Mom, & the topper, the concert. Kana worked so hard getting my note to Stoney & he had the whole concert singing it again to Mom. Got family bday festivities coming up? Do it here w family, you will not believe how great it was!!!!

We really had a great time at the horse races! Customer service was fantastic! Everyone ordered multiple meals and we were all super satisfied and happy. Can't wait to return!

We are locals. Have been here several times,before and after the ownership changed. The dis organization and experience beyond just watching the bull riding was disappointing to say the least. No one guiding people in for parking which was a mess. With 2 full lots, close to the venue, left mostly empty for the duration of the time we were there. Long lines at all concession areas and many concession areas closed. They were out of many of the food and drink choices which was not communicated until waiting through the long lines. After PBR was over we attempted to enter the tents to view bands and was told that despite the wording on the website, the $54.17 we paid per person did not cover entry into the tents for the bands. So to see the bull riding and the bands would’ve cost over 100 dollars a person, not to mention two people in the group are children. All employees encountered seemed upset by the whole situation. Not sure who is running this outfit but the sky is the limit for improvements. Highly disappointed with this experience.

Fun place to try and pick the horses and spend your money. Food and drinks are high like a sporting event, but overall the staff was great. Most of the bet takers were good as well, but you have to double check to make sure you got what you wanted. Nice concert after the races on Saturday, just loud and took a while to get to the regular band vs warm up which was really good.

Had the whole dinning hall to ourselves and had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Couldn't ask for anything else. Service was great and very helpful.
