Runner cost:
Before Septemeber 1st: $45.00

Race Day: No race day registrants.
Run of the Dead is an apocalyptic 5K obstacle race, where obstacles are the least of your worries, you’re also running from brain-hungry, virus-spreading, bloody crazed zombies.
Basic Survival
Before the race, you will be given a flag belt, just like the game of flag football. These flags represent your health.
The zombies want to take your flags and maybe eat your brains.
If you lose all your health flags, you die. And the zombies win. You have to finish with at least one flag and complete all of the obstacles to "finish" the course.
There is no Time Limit, The goal is to finish and not get your brains devoured by the undead.
What You’re Up Against
Throughout the 5K obstacle course, there will be a series of man-made and natural obstacles for you to complete. Runners may choose NOT to complete an obstacle, BUT any runner who skips an obstacle may not be eligible for prizes.
There will be zombies. Their job is to chase you and eat you — but mainly go after your health, in the form of your flag belt. Avoid the zombies to keep your health flags.
Use speed, strategy and your intact brains to make it to the FINISH LINE “alive”/ with at least ONE FLAG INTACT. If you finish with zero health flags, this means the zombies have successfully transformed you into the “undead”. Furthermore, without a flag, you will not be eligible for potential prizes including a free beverage, and at anytime you will most likely turn into a zombie. (I know, bummer)
How You’ll Do It
There will be a start line, and a finish line, but what happens in between is up to you. There might be multiple routes to reach the finish. Choose wisely, or your 5k might turn into a 10k.
We do not record your time, that is up to you. We also do not view this as a race but more of a challenge for you to complete. With our course the weather can add allot of different variables from year to year so please pay attention to the weather and plan accordingly. One thing you can count on is getting chased and getting muddy.
