My kids really enjoy this skate park but there are some sketch things about it for sure .. There have been some questionable people hanging around and it's always trashed literally. We like to go early and avoid the crowds. The place itself provides great opportunity for people of all skill levels. I've even been able to roller skate her myself a bit.
Most legendary park in Sacramento. This park has a whole culture around it, its kinda of hilarious. Other than that the park is fun, the lines here never get old.
Wow what a dump. Beer cans everywhere. Trash in the park itself can't skate without falling over it. Lots of homeless and vagrants playing loud Rap music aka "ghetto hymns."
My kid loves coming here to skate on his scooter. The park is very nice also.
This is the worst skate park in the Sacramento area. Parents drop off their kids and ruin it for everyone else because their child does not know skatepark etiquette, causing them to snake half the house sized park. Not to mention the amount of cracks/potholes and uneven ground is unforgiving especially when the park workers don’t want to even clean it so the locals have to do it. If you wanna look for a good skate park, don’t come here
Ladies and Gentlemen, the wait is over. Doctor Skipwith’s park has been found. If you are reading this, you have won. The snakes have been found. Never bring training wheels to the skatepark.
Great spot to ride. My son loves the set up and the rails. I can get hot so the morning and afternoon are the best times.
Pros and cons. My kid had fun and was happy that he could bring his bike. There was a good mix of bikes, scooters, and skateboards. The kids in the action seemed all pretty courteous - I didn't see anyone knocking kids down or cutting them off. Best features- the "beginner's section," and the more complex section with spines, bowls, and gaps. Watched a kid do really impressive tricks - the flare was . But I would NOT leave a young kid or naive teen unsupervised here. The kids acting sus at the picnic bench spent time trying to figure out if I was a narc before literally pulling a full glass/water bong out of a backpack and going to town impressive feat, but can you NOT do that around the young kids?. There were also some odd folks making the rounds/loitering that just lent an "opportunistic crime" feeling to the parking lot. So... look, most skate park folks are chill, but you can't be naive and take unnecessary risks. Be safe out there and enjoy the park.
A very nice and big space for kiddos to play and run around they have installed a new playground and the restrooms are clean at least for today and they have a huge parking space
My son loves this park I've been going here my whole life
