I feel like not enough positive reviews get written for the sake of it. But I’ve been going to Russo’s since I was like 13; and after more than 10 years I gotta say that I have nothing but good things to say about them! I’ve never had any issues they couldn’t help me with and the folks there are all knowledgeable and skilled. From getting gear help, set-ups, and custom wirings they’ve always been great. Plus you get to support local business!
I visited the Asbury Park location today and was quite impressed. I was greeted with a smile and a hello from several employees. The store is laid out in an aesthetically pleasing way. After comfortably perusing the inventory, Zack mentioned that he’d get me set up if I’d like to play anything. He stopped by a couple of times as I played some Mustang basses, letting me know he was there, but not pressuring me in any way. He mentioned a Labor Day sale coming up and was overall quite helpful and friendly. The inventory is top notch and I was pleased to see the Darkglass electronics gear in person, because I’ve never seen it carried in a store. I’m of an age where the local music store was Mecca when I was younger. I’ve also worked at Guitar Center and seen the more watered down corporate version. If you had the choice to buy from Amazon, GC, or Russo I’d recommend going with Russo.
I recently purchased a high end guitar from Russo's music in Asbury, everyone there was fantastic! However, I must point out an exceptional job by Zach Schumacher! As soon as I arrived he helped me with parking so I wouldn't get a ticket as I usually back my car in -- since I was early and the store was not yet open, he was welcoming! This is huge is sales! People want to do business with people they like. Zach was most efficient and showed what I consider outstanding leadership skills... I normally shop at my local Russo's location, but I will making the trip down to the Asbury location just because the service was that good. !! The new USA Epiphone Casino is fantastic, thank you, Zach and all the other wonderful employees at the Asbury location. !!
I purchased a Kramer 84' in gloss white from these guys last year. Let me start by saying the customer service was second to none. Shipping was fast and they folllowed up with thank you emails, and later a card to see how I liked it. The guitar is the best Kramer I own--and i have several. It came professionally set up out of the box and played amazingly. Its my main guitar and I have since upgraded to all black hardware and added a kill switch. Now a year later Mike sent me a personally written note on a cool Russo Music post card asking if I still loved the guitar. Well Mike yes I do! And I appreciate the customer service. Russo Music will continue to have my business! Thanks again guys!
Just picked up a BEAUTIFUL Kramer Pacer Tiger Stripe guitar today. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and were very good with finding guitars that fit my playing style. Easily the best place around. Selection is awesome and staff are super nice. Can’t wait to go back!
I heard great things about Russo in Asbury from two of my musician friends, so I decided to check it out. So far I bought two amazing guitars from them. My experiences in the store have been very enjoyable. Everyone there has been extremely helpful. A special thanks to Patrick, Zach, and mostly, my main contact, Steve, who made absolutely sure my latest guitar was perfect and on time for pickup. Steve kept me in the loop the entire day… on his day off! Are you kidding me? Who does that? Whoever hired these guys knows what he’s doing. I’ll be shopping there and recommending the place for a long time.
Their maintenance guys are the best. Not sure if Eric still works there but he did an incredible job repairing my water damaged Taylor acoustic a few years ago. I’ll never forget the fantastic job they did with the repair and I can’t thank them enough. The shop is excellent with a great selection. They get one of a kind, custom guitars from Taylor that are insanely great to play. I can’t speak highly enough of the work they do here.
My guitar buying experience at Russo's in Asbury Park was phenomenal. There can be hesitancy when buying an instrument online. Adam at Russo's went above and beyond. I've had my new Gibson for a couple weeks and everything Adam described about the guitar was spot on. I'm very, very pleased with my purchase. I would highly recommend Adam and Russo's in Asbury Park!
Bought a guitar there last week. Service was great. Cool vibe in the store. They have an excellent stock. Sales rep Adam Heise was very accommodating and had a great moustache.
Straight up and down they transformed my guitar in their repair shop. I could not be happier with the outcome of the set up my Taylor acoustic. Literally am a better player because of the service. Major appreciation
