We came here for my birthday. We ordered a few things but I think the only good things were the drinks and steak. Seafood tower- overpriced for what you get. The shrimp were kind of tough. And I couldn’t tell if it was the crab or the shrimp that smelled a little overly seafoody. The lobster was a weird texture.. kind of chalky and flavorless. The lump crab meat was good. They didn’t bring butter at first and has to ask if we wanted it. The cocktails and wine we got were good. They took a while to come out even though it wasn’t busy. The server had to ask several times after leaving what we ordered again. The staff seemed under trained and confused. They were nice enough but there was a lot of confusion all throughout the night. Between them trying to take plates we were still eating from and forgetting what we ordered. The sides we got were the asparagus and the gratin potatoes. Neither was very good, especially for the price point. The asparagus was stringy with a small portion and the potatoes were just cut up potatoes with some cheese on top. Not creamy like you’d expect. The steak was good and well cooked. I don’t understand bringing you plates so hot that when they cut and plate the steak in front of you it sizzles. It could just have finished cooking in the kitchen. They have to warn you not to touch your plate. It’s not fajitas so I don’t really get it. We also got the cheesecake for dessert which was fine. Overall I wasn’t impressed and don’t think the experience was worth it.

We love going to Ruth Chris for special occasions. The service was spectacular as always. They never make you feel rushed. The food was delicious with my steak just melting in my mouth. Of course, couldn’t end the meal without crème brûlée. They truly have the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had.Food: 5/5
So, my husband and I went to Ruth Chris the other night and our night was off to a great start. Our server, Winston, was extremely nice and accommodating, he made drink and appetizer recommendations, which we did end up getting his drink recommendation. We received our food and things were going well until my husband found what looked like a piece of a Brillo pad/brush in his food, which he actually ingested. We let our waiter know and the manager, James, came over to speak with us. He was extremely apologetic and offered to remake the dish, at no cost to us, and would have it prepared to go. We paid our bill and got home and we were both disappointed in the quality of food we took home. My husband ordered the beef short ribs and they were dry and cold when we got home we only live 10 mins away. I went back to the restaurant the next day and asked to speak with James. I explained to him why I had returned, and showed him pictures of the food we took home. He once again was sincere in his apologies and offered to remake the food. While I waited, he offered to buy me a drink at the bar and even paid for the additional meal and dessert that I ordered. By no means were we looking for anything for free, but James was beyond professional and courteous and would not allow me to pay for my food. I frequent this location, but the customer that I received, is the reason why I will continue to return.

Been to this RC numerous times and it's always a great experience. From the drinks, service and of course the steak! From an 1800 degree boiler to the sizzle plate on your table always a joy to hear and smell.Food: 5/5
Me and my wife ate here for the first time for her birthday. We ordered crab beignets and seared ahi tuna as our appetizers. Both were really delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed both. For dinner we ordered stuff chicken breast and garlic crusted sea bass, for our sides we ordered steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. We enjoyed our meals and we especially enjoyed our sides. We felt all of our food was seasoned to perfection. We didn't order dessert but because it was my wife's birthday she was given a slice of plain cheesecake. The cheesecake was really good and we both enjoyed it. We also thought our waitress was really good and all the staff were very friendly and pleasant. We had a fantastic experience and will be back again in the future.
EDIT: So we went back to Ruth's Chris to celebrate my son's grades again. And I can tell you, my family and I absolutely love the food. Similar to last time, my son got his usual of Filet Mignon and Lobster Tails, my Wife the crab cakes, and I also got the Filet. It was excellent. As for dessert, my son his usual of the Crème Brulé, same for the wife, and I had the cinnamon raisin bread pudding. Fantastic all around!!!! Also, the entire dinner, my son was congratulated for his grades by the staff and they even wrote "keep up the hard work" on his dessert. For those concerned about service, do not be deterred. They have excellent service, but I recommend going early. Our reservations were at 5:30 and we didn't finish until almost 7:30. If you are expecting to be done in an hour, go to some other place. This is a classic dining experience and is meant to be a couple of hours. Also, the later you wait, the more busy they are and as you could expect, service will slow. But it is an excellent restaurant worth the time and money. Make sure you check out the pictures. ORIGINAL: What can I say, it's Ruth's Chris! We went there to celebrate my son getting straight A's and going into high School. It's one of his favorite restaurants. Now we have never been to this one in Pikesville Maryland, but we have been to other Ruth's Chris. As expected, it is very nice, clean restaurant. I had the bone-in filet, my son had a filet and lobster tails, and my wife had the Maryland style crab cakes. The food was absolutely delicious. So you might be wondering why only four out of 5 stars, I will tell you. Dessert was fantastic. My son had creme brulee and we ordered the bananas Foster. According to the menu it was supposed to be prepared tableside as you would expect if you've ever had bananas Foster. This unfortunately was not the case. It took an abnormally long time for the dessert to be prepared and it was brought to us well after my son had received his creme brulee. It is unfortunate because we would have ordered a different dessert if we had been told that it was not per the menu and would not be prepared tableside. Having bananas Foster prepared in front of you is an excellent experience. They flambe the bananas and make a big spectacle. But do not let this deter you from going to this restaurant. While expensive, Ruth's Chris is by far one of the best high-end steak chains there is. At the end of the night we left with full bellies and excellent memories of celebrating my son's grades and transition into high School. Parking: Parking lot is very small and spaces are tight. it is part of a shopping mall. Kid-friendliness: Only if your children can stand being at a restaurant for a long period of time.
This visit was for a birthday celebration...my daughter and I share the same bday! We felt like VIP'S with the service we received...everything was incredibly amazing from start to finish. Adding to the impeccable food and drink was the 5* service we received from the staff. I highly recommend the Pikesville Ruth's Chris and I will definitely return soon!
