It was quite disappointed how such a beautiful place to go and visit with my children in the past and this time it was not what to be expected a lot of the food vendors were close. Multiple attractions were closed, the rides were limited and you still have to pay full price for entering. It was to be a special day with my daughter a group of friends and family. It was her Birthday,so we made the best of it with what we had. But I wouldn't be going back anytime soon until whatever it is that the park is trying to do it's done and completed.
I loved the park, it was really fun and not a big place so you can go on every ride at least once in one day. I loved the Musical Express ride, the workers there had a really positive energy about them. Overall fun experience. View from the top of the ferris wheel was beautiful too.
We had a blast. It was something for everyone of all ages. Just didn't like that the rides seem like they end so quickly. The food was good and my kids love the show they put on.We were able to hit all the rides and there wasn't any longer longs probably because it was a weekday.
Best family fun at reasonable pricing! The price is discounted to $29.99 when you purchase online vs. $34.99 when you purchase in person. However, you still have to check in at the booth to receive your wristband. As an added plus, you're able to go cashless when purchasing food with their pre-loaded cashless wristbands also found online & rec'vd at the booth. The parking fee @ $15 was reasonable too. Although it used to be $10, but I guess due to the inflation of the pandemic, it is what it is. They have hand sanitizing machines at every ride and all throughout the park. We had a great time!
I drove over to Rye’s Playland park and was startled to see that Playland is in the process of getting a major renovation to the tune of over 130 million dollars so you might ask why am I giving my review 5 Stars? Well as someone who grew up watching Big, the movie staring Tom Hanks, the park and boardwalk which is open still possesses a great deal of majesty and it’s a wonderful place to go for a walk or a run. I even saw someone fishing off the pier!
We mistakenly paid for parking in the parks lot when we could’ve parked for free on the side of the road… we were there to take our dogs on a walk to the boardwalk. They loved it! It’s beach is not in season but the sights were beautiful as well as the surrounding area! Looking forward to going back one day to ride the rides!
Lot's of fun. Great little get a way. I always loved Rye Playland. Amazingly the young people that work there were very responsive and took their jobs seriously. Park is clean and is being renovated.
Just got back from this park. It’s almost here! Construction is almost done! They opened up the pier restaurant. The gate to the entrance was open and I was walking around in there because I saw people eating and heard a live musician playing but some older man asked me to leave because I wasn’t part of the park people. I felt bad because I saw other regular looking people there sitting and having lunch and felt like the man was just being rude to me. I just left and ruined my mood. It’s a beautiful park but I suggest closing the gate so regular people walking around won’t think they can enter the gate. Glad work is almost done.
Went here as a child. Loved it. Brought my children here and now my granddaughter. 4th of July holiday is the best because they have fireworks. During the summer they have fireworks every Friday. Not overly crowded, reasonably priced. Food is decent. Games are fun and the rides are thrilling.
All the old rides and rusty ride needs to be updated. The rusty looks like it going break but dragon roller coaster needs updating on the woods. Overall it is worth your wild. Recommend purchase tickets online. Save the headache. Bathroom is clean but family bathroom is dirty. Food is good but why you took Nathan's out?. Rides are fun. Security is a lot of them.
