Rye Presbyterian Nursery School is a non-profit, non-denominational Reggio-inspired preschool for children ages 2 to 5 located in Rye, New York
Who We Are:
Rye Presbyterian Nursery School, located in the heart of Rye, New York, is a non-profit, non-denominational preschool for children ages two to five.
As a progressive preschool, inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we provide a play-based, half-day program. As we listen to children’s ideas, we build our curriculum. We work collaboratively with children to create long term projects and investigations around these ideas–delving deeper into what interests children. We integrate our goals for each child into our studies, so every child is nurtured, supported, and challenged.
We offer two, three, four, and five day classes, as well as the possibility of lengthening your child’s day through various extended day options.
We integrate goals from the NYS common core curriculum to prepare our students for elementary school.
Entrance to RPNS is not restricted by race, creed, or national origin.
Enrollment:
We currently enroll 300 students in both A.M. and P.M. classes. Classes are led by two co-teachers with 9 students in the twos, 13 students in the threes, 13 or 17 students in the fours. In our fives class we have 21 students with 3 teachers.
Our Staff:
Our staff includes 23 full-time teachers as well as a director, assistant director, admissions director, studio teacher, school nurse, and business manager. A music/movement teacher, physical education teacher, enrichment teacher, child psychologist, speech therapist, and occupational therapist provide additional support services.
