Biographies of our Staff:
Aura-Marie Pawley M.D., Sheela Gade M.D., David Marcus M.D.

Aura-Marie Pama Pawley, M.D.
Dr. Gigi Pawley completed her Residency training in General
Psychiatry and Fellowship training in Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,
California, after which she joined San Marino Psychiatric
Associates and Pacific Clinics.
* Dr. Pawley has a reputation in the community of conducting
detailed and thorough psychiatric evaluations to ensure
proper diagnosis and treatment of her patients.
Special interest, dedication and commitment in the
·treatment of ADHD patients, along with their families.
· Extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and
management of ADHD and its co morbid conditions, such as
Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders (Depression and Bipolar
Bisorder), Learning Disorders, Eating Disorders (Anorexia,
Bulimia), Developmental Disorders (Autistic and Asperger’s
D/O), and other conditions of childhood.
· Past Medical Director of Pacific Clinics East in Monrovia,
CA for several years.


Sheela L. Gade,M.D.
Dr. Sheela Gade is a board certified physician
who completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency and Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in
Boston,Massachusetts.
Dr. Gade sees children, adolescents and
adults.
· Co-Chief Resident during her child fellowship.
· Involved in teaching psychiatry residents and students at
Tufts Medical School. During her time there, she was
involved in an ADHD clinic geared toward college and
graduate students, as well as professionals dealing with
ADHD.
· Involved in the ADHD diagnostic program at Kaiser
Permanente where she diagnosed and treated patients with
ADHD and co-morbid conditions such as anxiety, depression,
mental retardation, autism, and medical illness. She
worked with a treatment team which included nurses,
pediatricians and psychologists.


David Marcus, M.D.
Dr. David Marcus is Board Certified in Psychiatry and completed
his medical training at the University of Kansas, and
Psychiatric Residency at the University of Rochester in New
York.
· In Rochester, he participated in a Fellowship in designing
and implementing clinical pharmacological trials for
children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, OCD,
ADHD, and tic disorders.
· He worked in one of the largest ADHD/Tic Disorder clinics
in the country. He has published in the areas of ADHD and
Tourette’s Disorder.
· He was a co-Principal investigator of clinical trials that
led to FDA approval of medications such as Concerta and
Adderall, as well as medications such as Ritalin and
Clonidine for ADHD and Tic Disorders.


Nancy Lynn Horton LMFT:
Nancy Lynn Horton, LMFT is licensed by the state of California
as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She brings over 10 years of
clinical experience to the practice offering ADHD evaluations
and treatment for children, adolescents and adults, with
attentional issues and co-occurring psychiatric problems (i.e.
anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder). She completed her
Master of Arts, Marriage & Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate
Institute Los Angeles and internship training at Children’s
Hospital Los Angeles and The Glen Roberts Child Study Center,
Glendale. Among her clinical and professional activities, Ms.
Horton:
• Provides comprehensive psychoeducational testing to
evaluate for ADHD in children, adolescents and adults
using a battery of neuro-cognitive tests and measures.
• Currently serves as clinician in the Child and
Adolescent Mood Program, also known as the CHAMP
Clinic for the treatment of children, adolescents and
their families with Bipolar Disorder. In that role,
Ms. Horton provides both individual and family
treatment using cognitive behavioral therapy
techniques, as well as Family-Focused Treatment
developed by Dr. David Miklowitz.
• Held the position of Research Psychology Clinician on
the ADHD Genetic Study in the Center for
Neurobehavioral Genetics, UCLA, a role in which she
has interviewed some 300 families for ADHD symptoms
and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.
• Participates as Team Member of the Mindful Awareness
Program (MAP) research initiative at UCLA for the
adolescent group, a self- awareness/self-regulation
practice which utilizes meditation to reduce stress
and improve attention.
