I had pre scheduled appt. Went there right on time. The front desk lady checked me in and told me to wait. Waited for 20 min after my scheduled appt. I couldn’t wait more so I asked how long it may take, they told me 5 more min. Waited for another 20 min and some nice lady came and told me they are busy and cannot accommodate me. She was nice and very apologetic though. I understand everyone is short staffed these days but management should know this ahead of time and inform the appt holder knows ahead. I took time off from work to go to donate my blood and I felt like they’re not respecting my time. I’m not donating blood with them anymore.
First time Vitalant donor but have been coming here when it was BloodSource. I've never had a problem. Valeria S. was nice and professional. I don't know why people are saying such bad things about her. I didn't get the receptionist's name but she was also nice and efficient. The young woman who actually drew my blood was also friendly and excellent at finding my vein. The whole process was very quick if you completed the health history questionnaire prior to arrival. They do have a sense of humor here and some people may take it as unprofessional. During this covid-19 pandemic, I especially appreciate the laughs. Thank you Vitalant!
Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice refreshment area filled with plenty of snacks and beverages for when you are finished with your donation. Nurses were very helpful and informative. Wonderful experience! 10/10 would recommend
I went to a donating blood appointment at Blood Source in Elk Grove. They had called me several times to make an appointment after my first donation. From the beginning, after I was brought in for my interview with the RN, I didn’t feel welcomed! Their was some under laying hostility with the RN that was helping me?... I think she was having a bad day? The other MAs and receptionist where very nice! Any way you don’t treat a donor that way!
I have previously donated blood on blood drives so this was the first time I ever visited a clinic and I must say I am impressed! All the employees here are really nice and helpful, Candace and other workers answered all my questions and the place itself is neatly organized and clean I am extremely satisfied with my visit and will gladly come back for more donations and snacks!
I was turned away for not having an appointment. I had a hard enough time just going in there dreading a needle stick and trying to do some good. Not good business o would say turning willing donors away.
The staff are exceptional - professional, welcoming, and caring. The facility is spotless; the volunteers who provide the snacks are friendly to the degree that I have lingered for over an hour at times chatting with them!
Another DMV...Please make an appointment before you donate your blood. Elk Grove center, please don't contact me by phone in the future. I don't want to waste my pretty weekend time on waitting when no one in front of me for 20 minutes, thanks!
I scheduled an appointment to donate blood online. I show up for my appointment time and the office is closed. I scheduled my day around this appointment so it was quite irritating to find their office closed. I suggest calling their office to confirm your appointment with a person who works there before heading over.
Very professional!! I had a wonderful and relaxing experience during my first visit donating plasma. Will definitely be going again soon.
