SQSA is a consultancy focusing on seafood safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance audits and inspections.
We assist in the development and evaluation of management programs for hatcheries, farms, feed mills, and seafood processing facilities. We work with industry on complying with certification standards such as ASC, BAP, GLOBALG.A.P., ISO, MSC, and SQF. Our associates are also sub-contracted by accredited certification bodies to audit manufacturers, growers and processors.
Training Services
SQSA has been qualified through the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) to teach the following courses: Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Sanitation Control Procedures (SCP) courses. These courses have been formally recognized by the US Food and Drug Administration. Certificates of Completion are provided to students issued by the AFDO.
SQSA also teaches courses in Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Internal Auditing, and Core Requirements for Third Party Standards. Courses provide updates in reference to new regulations such as the US Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP), and Hazard Analysis Risk Based Preventative Controls (HARPC).
Product Evaluation
In addition to food safety and certification, SQSA is also contracted to sample products on FDA detention. We also analyze product for economic adulteration, net weight, workmanship, and decomposition.
