Safe Space Winter Shelter is an all-volunteer low-barrier shelter in Chico, CA. This year, 2017, we will have food and shelter for up to 50 guests/night from December 10 to March 4.

Safe Space is a community effort between guests, volunteers, benefit organizers, patrons, media, and the generous churches and other shelter sites that allow us to make our whole community more secure by attending to the basic needs of some our most vulnerable members during one of the most stressful seasons of the year. Safe Space Winter Shelter is a non-profit organization providing emergency shelter to our homeless community during Chico's coldest winter months. Safe Space is a housing first shelter that operates using a code of conduct and does not have requirements related to sobriety, pets, or couples.
