Very disappointed with my experience here. The lessons did not follow any curriculum, and the instructor had to be reminded every week what we had been working on the week before. He would bounce around to new skills, but never established why were moving on to new skills instead of finishing previous ones. I decided to cancel the lessons at the end of the month after having a particularly frustrating class experience where the instructor clearly forgot what we were working on, and tried to start off at the basics. After cancelling I was told by the billing department that I would only get half the cost back for the upcoming month. This is way too expensive to be so poorly planned and have such an obnoxious cancellation policy.
It felt like this place cared more about my subscription and money then it did about figuring out what level my daughter needed to be in and giving her appropriate instruction. The staff was kind but I don't feel like they did a great job at communicating with me from the beginning. The whole experience was a bummer and felt like a waste.
The space is always clean and welcoming and we really enjoy the staff- David is a great presence as manager with a smile and welcome- he is approachable and great to work with. The instructors are kind and patient yet push our son to grow and learn. They are great at teaching and love the sport. It is always on time and consistently a pleasurable experience. We love it!!
Make sure you don’t give them your credit card because they will charge you and not give you a refund if you don’t cancel 15 WHOLE days before the beginning of the month. They will store your card Information online with no way to delete it and charge you with no way to withdrawal. Awful customer service will definitely be returning.
I do not recommend SafeSplash - especially the Park Hill location. Long story short - there was nothing I could do to persuade my son to get in the water. We tried to cancel in September but they said it was too late int he month and I would be charged for October. I spoke with a woman on the phone and she said if it happens again this month, I could get a 50% credit back for cancelling. My son participated in only 1 class for the month and when I approached SS about this, they chose not to honor the 50% refund which we previously discussed which mind you is still $66 for ONE 30 minute class. Based on what has transpired, I feel the actions on behalf of SafeSplash strongly contradict their mission to "provide joy, freedom and endless opportunities to create lifelong memories" and support their students in "discovering the magic of swimming." It seems to me as though they'd rather nickle-and-dime their customers. I'm not going to force my screaming child into the water so we can scar him and disrupt everything else going on in the pool. Lastly, I requested a call back personally from the manager, however this responsibility was passed off to a representative at the call center. This leads me to believe this business is under extremely poor management. Unfortunately SafeSplash was unable to offer any sort of solution on how to resolve this issue that could benefit the both of us. I strongly suggest that Denver families consider taking their children elsewhere. It is disgusting to me that this company feels justified in $133 for one class.
This place is great! I have my 2nd child here now, and I am more than pleased with the progress.
This place is a scam. Signed up for lessons and attended the first one with my daughter. As we get in the pool the instructor asks me "So what do you guys usually do for this?" Uh, what? Aren't you the instructor? That's the quality of training you'll get here. Pretty sure they just find random people to put in the pool with the kids and let them splash around. Also have been unable to get them to cancel the auto-recurring monthly payments. They don't answer the phone and don't respond to voicemail. Will be reporting the charges as fraud. That's the kind of business this is!
I used to love safe splash as a little kid. It has been almost ten years since i was last there but i have very fond memories of it. I don't know what it's like now but back then it was amazing and I hope that that energy has continued , although I'm pretty sure it hasn't. If i'm not mistaken safe splash suffered quite a bit during the covid19 pandemic and all my sympathies go out to the safe splash employees. I am saddened by seeing the photos here. All the people living on the lawn. It breaks my heart to see this in many ways. I remember making friends at my regular swim classes. My dad even made friends with one of the other dads and we would go to nuggs or steves and get a bite to eat. So many good memories . But I understand that now , as a high schooler , that this happened in the 2010s and that it's the 2020s now. Thank you for reading my story and I apologize that it is not a true review.
We love this place. Hailea always has such a great attitude and the staff is super friendly. The sitting area and large number of changing rooms are really convenient. Highly recommended
Have been taking my 7 and 10 year-old here since January and they love it. Due to staffing issues they have had multiple instructors over the past few months, which is not ideal, but all the instructors they've had are patient even when my kids are not listening/goofing around and care about teaching the kids and making sure they are learning life-saving and fun techniques. Would definitely recommend.
