Saint Alphonsus

I just transferred to a new insurance company and had never used an urgent care facility before. After obtaining a list of available facilities in my area, I opted for St Alphonsus Elm St facility. The staff was friendly and registered me quickly. After a short wait I was seen, diagnosed and out the door. My prescription was waiting when I arrived at my chosen pharmacy and the treatment worked.

I came in last Saturday. My throat was extremely sore. They checked for strep , it was negative. They sent it somewhere to get further analyzed and said they would call in one to two days to let me know , never heard from them . Worst part though was the doctor did not check my ears . At that time my ear wasn't hurting Seems prodigal to check ears when coming in for a sore throat. My ear started hurting really bad so on Tuesday I went to my primary doctor and found out I had a bad ear infection. This was one of the worst things I have ever gone through. Had he checked my ears , I could have started a antibiotic on Saturday, , , not Tuesday. Finally started to feel better on Thursday! I will never go to this place again. I only write this in hopes that if others go in to get their throat checked , that maybe they can check the ears also , I wouldn't wish how I felt , for anyone!!!

Long wait time in lobby as well as once you are in a room. They run with 2 PA's on duty. The clinic itself is very dated and old. The staff is friendly enough but long long wait! Oh the PA we saw was 27 years old so not sure of the experience in the office. But he did get us over what we were being seen for so I would say efficient care.

My family uses the Elm urgent care whenever we need prompt care for things like ear infections and UTIs. We are always treated swiftly and with compassion from all the staff and providers. Thank you again.

Jake, the doctor we saw, was very willing to help and answered all my questions. He also got me the treatment I needed. The administrative staff were also nice.

Really like everyone's kindness. When your sick it's nice to have the receptionist be receptive and caring. Everyone was great and the doctor was too.

Im almost positive my foot is broken, over a week now since it has been hit I can’t walk right, it gives out and it is numb, I am numb from my toes all the way to my calf. I went in here to ask for help and the doctor or nurse came in and told me since I have cheap insurance he cannot refer me. Told me to ice it and keep elevated. I informed him I have done that for a week and it is getting WORSE! My foot is becoming more numb and pointing diagonal and I am losing function in it. Since my insurance isn’t great he cannot do any thing . I will bring legal action if another doctor begs to differ. This isn’t fair I just wanted to be treated not told my insurance isn’t great and he cannot refer me.

45 minutes in waiting room. Med assistant doesn't have a caring bone in her body. Asked me which pharmacy and I said, maybe this one out the door here, and she said the waiting room is out the door.... really? So then she said it's gonna be awhile, there are still four people ahead of you. I've been here an hour already...

Best medical experience I've ever had. Met a new medical provider with my insurance. Doctor was awesome. Recomend me for care that matched my needs. Blood draw was the easiest ever in my life. Xrays were quick and easy. I would recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality care. Awesome and my best medical experience I've. had in 59 years!!!! Really exceptional. Looking forward to actual great healthcare for the first time in my life. Can't recommend this place enough. Kind, caring and committed staff from check in to check out. Can't believe how great my experience was!!!!!

I checked in to Urgent Care today, at 1:00pm; waiting room was empty; one receptionist was briefing the one seated on procedures, prior to acknowledgment. The seated receptionist finally acknowledged me and my husband standing at the window. I told her why I needed to see a doctor; she explained since they had a new system, she was going to have to input all my information into her system. Ive been going there for over 5 yrs She finally had me sign in at 1:17pm, and I went to sit down. It was close to 2:00pm before a nurse came and called me in; took my blood pressure, asked me what my situation was; then took us down to yet another room, and said someone will be with you shortly. At 2:30; no one had shown up, so I chose to leave. When we walked out of the room, I told another nurse in a red uniform, that I was leaving, and she said, "Oh are you waiting for x-rays"...... I said no, just the doctor! And I left. I'm trusting that this visit shall NOT be sent to my insurance, and that I'm not charged, since I received no service. NEVER SAW A DOCTOR, DOCTORS ASSISTANT, ETC.! Very disappointed in the service that was delivered !
