Saint Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church

There is a 360° mural up high that is incredibly beautiful, colorful and interesting! It's a collection of historic religious and "social"saints done in a Depression Era style. But wait, there's more! The church has included people from their history, ancient and living, making them their own saints, miracle not required. The mural also features modern historical leaders who made our world better in a saintly way. It's fun and interesting to try to identify all of them and their accomplishments. If you need help, there is a booklet that identifies all of them with pictures. Definitely worth a trip to see this mural.

Even if you're not religious, you should peek inside this space. It is marvelous! An octagonal vaulted ceiling with brightly colored murals – decorating the sides and ceiling – of dancing Jesus, apostles, historical figures, and animals. Such a special place.

Gorgeous fresco paintings inside. They all have halos except for one. It's like Where's Waldo.
