I wish I had gone to this hospital sooner. So glad my mother convinced me into going.  The staff was very nice and compassionate. They took the time to try to understand my illness and did their best to get my pain under control. They ran test to make sure it was not something more serious. Most of the time the nurses were prompt when using the call button. The doctors were knowledgeable, they listened, showed that they cared and had great bedside manner. They doctors made sure I was able to eat and tolerate oral medication and they did all they could before I was discharged. The staff set me up with a follow up primary care appointment and set up referrals to specialists. I have changed all my care to Saint Luke’s. I never plan on going back to the HCA MIDWEST network. The Er wait time was longer than I expected, but the care was excellent.

Wow. Outstanding commitment, dedication, and great work. I can say a lot more. Thank you for the help by the nurses specifically Ashley, Laura , Taylor, and several others I missed their names. the nurses and or CNA’s on the 3rd floor, outstanding job ladies. I’ve had a horrible experience with hospitals, you all made me re think hospital visits. If my grandmother ever gets sick again, I hope she gets back on your 3rd floor & you all take care of her again. I’ve never seen people so passionate and caring about what they do. Keep up the great work.

Was sent here for a blood clot scare. As someone with a lot of medical fears, I was treated with patience and respect. The ultrasound tech I had was named Kimberly and she was amazing. Yes there is standard triage, as to be expected, but they definitely take care. I didn't feel rushed once I got back and into a room. Also no blood clot!

The doctors and nurses are amazing and go above and beyond taking care of patients needs! The reason for the 4 stars is because the kitchen personal and service is horrible! Food is always late and cold! Patients are already not wanting to be there and sick and most definitely don’t need to be treated so poorly!

I was cared for like a member of a family here. I've never had such a pleasant stay in a hospital. They provide cable, the nurses are prompt and incredibly polite, and the advice I received here saved my life.  Thank you Stella, Sarah, Dr Epp and Dr. Hillen. I wouldn't be here without your help.

I had a full hip replacement at St Luke’s South! Pre Op Staff was excellent Post Op Staff was another story my back was hurting they kinda of just wrote it off but did give me pain meds probably bc I wouldn’t quit complaining. The nurse told someone on the phone I was anxious before I went in no it’s no fun getting a epidural! When I got to the unit the staff was pretty good night time staff was  a different story they didn’t want to help me get in and out bed and I just had a hip replacement plus I was having issues with my blood pressure being low . Also the same 2 staff members didn’t want to help me so they pawned me off on the day staff. To many  people coming in and out of the room. To many people involved in my care so it got confusing. The bright side Daniel was an excellent nurse and the food was good. Lots of good choices.

We came to this ER@ 10a.m. and there was 5 people waiting to be seen. 1 black, and there were 1 latino and the rest were white. After sitting for an hour waiting for triage with 2 other white people come in between that time are immediately taken back. I then asked what the protocol for how patients were seen. The lady said she gives the problems and paperwork to the er nurses and they decide which is important. Well it is now 1:05p.m.  and they still havent seen either of the black women that has been here since before 10a.m.. have been called back what a crock of s!!!. If you are African American I would advise you not to come here in an emergency situation

We have been here 5hrs and my husband just need stitches? What is happening? This is not ok, I have never had to wait this long. Makes you think a cut down to bone is not that big of a deal. Disappointed, waiting room is not busy. Maybe they need more doctors or more rooms. Something has to change, this is not ok for an Emergency Room

We rushed my son here after an open fracture to his humerus. It was the closest hospital to us. They dropped everything and got him iv pain meds and an ambulance to  Children’s. The staff was great!

I have a heart condition and my arm went numb. I left work and came to the ER. I waited for reception to check me in for 10 minutes with no one else in line. A nurse did an EKG and told me to go wait in the waiting room until a doctor is available. I’ve been waiting over 3 hours. I’m really hope I’m not having a serious heart issue.
