Ok. So. The food was...good. Tasted really good. I had the Mac and cheese with fried chicken strips and bacon added. The hubs had fish and chips. The waitress we had was super friendly, professional and all around excellent service. I ordered a pineapple mojito but initially didn't like the flavor. It was potent, and sweet but lacked the pineapple flavor. Our waitress fixed this by bringing me an extra pineapple slice with extra pineapple juice. This was a tremendous improvement. We found this establishment because we wanted to go to an Irish restaurant. Google has them listed as one, but nowhere do they advertise or even present themselves as one. So that may be Google's fault. All in all I recommend trying this place out. I may be back because I really did like their Mac and Cheese.
Came here my Dad and sibling because we happened to be in the area. I ordered the quesadilla which I expected to be cut into triangles line a typical quesadilla, instead it was more like little mini quesadillas which were very good! I liked that they were smaller and easier to dip in the salsa and eat. They were flavorful and full of chicken, and not soggy which is a problem with some quesadillas. My dad had the chicken strips which were fine, nothing crazy. My sibling had the Bacon XXX and of everything we ordered that was the most underwhelming. It wasn't very flavorful and seemed a tad over cooked. The waffle fries they came with were good though. If you're looking for a place to get some bar and grill food and watch a game this would be a place to go- TVs everywhere and they're good quality ones at that. I haven't gone during a major game so during the average Friday evening meal time it wasn't super busy.
Okay here's the deal. This is one of the most delicious restaurants in Independence. The fried pickles are incredible, the burgers are fantastic, and so are the wings. So good. The atmosphere is just kind of sports bar-y which isn't my scene. You know? A million TVs all playing sports. It's not for me. It gets pretty loud for my taste too. However the patio is nice. Again, I love the food here and will be back but my old real issue with Saints is with carryout. NEVER ORDER CARRYOUT HERE! I ordered food this weekend for pickup via DoorDash, showed up at roughly thirty minutes after ordering when the app told me I should get there and I had to wait an additional hour to get my food. I get that it was busy, but they shouldn't have been accepting orders if they were that slammed. What a waste of my time. So yeah, never ever order carryout but they food is so tasty. You're better off dining in.
Arrived during Happy Hour on Memorial Day. Had Fried Pickles, Fried Mushrooms as apps. We had Tenderloin sandwich, Chicken wrap and Fish & chips. Everything was great; service and food! Forgot to take photos of entrees when they came out...
We visited on a Thursday evening. There was a DJ running his version of trivia games over loudspeaker and loud loud speaker for music. We noticed that we not only had to yell to hear each other but the people around us had to do the same. We had a very sweet waiter who we tipped handsomely and she made our experience worth tolerating the noise. We even ordered dessert, rather unusual for us at 74 and 75.
My review has been changed from one to 4 stars after a positive customer service experience with Saint's owner I've attended Saint's for years with my friends. They have wonderful bar food, a laid back atmosphere, and a staff that truly puts their heart into their work. On our most recent visit we had a poor customer service experience with the manager after all three of our meals were incorrect. We asked for a discount due to spending more than an extra hour waiting for our food and only received a $1.58 discount on an $85 bill. We were told that there was nothing more that he could do for us and that we could either pay the bill or he could call the cops. We went home extremely upset and sent a message through the restaurant's "Contact Us" button on their website. The next morning the owner reached out to us via email and spoke with us about our experience. After our discussion with him we feel that our concerns were heard and we're willing to give the place another shot.
We enjoyed our food and drinks. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Happy hour all day on Sunday
We sat in the bar on a Saturday afternoon and the service was top notch. Our drinks came out quickly and our food order was taken. Food came out hot and fresh. The bartender and the manager both checked in on us. The bartender got us new drinks and the manager made sure our food was good. They have a lot of televisions with all the sports you could want to watch. Atmosphere was great and the place was clean. Prices were average. The only complaint is the giant holes in the parking lot. Be careful driving in and parking. Parking: Parking lot needs repaired and repaved.
Tonight was my first night here. 1st, our waitress was amazing, food came out quick. I suggest the grilled cheese and pulled pork sandwich. It's amazing. The music is great and so are the people. And thank you to all the people that congratulated me and my now fiance. He proposed to me tonight and it couldn't have gone any better.
I usually love Saints. They always had great food and drinks until tonight. Our server was wonderful - attentive and friendly. But my buffalo chicken sandwich was chewy and a very weird rubbery texture and our drinks that were $10 a piece had zero alcohol. It actually tasted like they just put the mixes with no alcohol and after two decent sized drinks, we could tell they tasted that way for a reason. They definitely either omitted the booze or put the tiniest amount that isn't worth paying $10 per drink for. I won't be back. $10 per drink is bad enough, but to have the drink with no booze, and the food not great, I'll go somewhere else. I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinks, so if I thought they had no booze, it has to be pretty bad and my husband's drink was the same.
