Very nice barber shop around West Haven.

I was recommended to stop by the shop last year and the customer service is awesome. Very friendly, always clean, and the barber's who cuts my brother's hair always looks great! There is street parking and the price is fair. Definitely check it out. They recently updated there shop and it looks fantastic.

I've been going here for nearly 30 years. I had my very first haircut here, actually. Even after I moved away after college, I still wait to have my hair cut until I come back to see my parents. Since Sammy and John retired, the shop has been renovated by Sammy's nephews I think? Everybody is Sammy's "Cousin" so who knows lol. As much as I loved the classic barbershop look, the new design is more modern and welcoming to younger people. I love that they kept elements from the old shop, too. My haircuts still come out great, and for the same price as one of those chain barbershops too. There's no risk here. You will get a nice cut, and they won't let you leave unhappy.

I recently moved to West Haven from PA, and as any guy will tell you, one of the first pillars of acclimating to a new area is a place to get a good cut. I can tell you that Sal's is an absolute class institution to West Haven. Founded in the 50's, this shop has all the familiar, comfortable vibes that make this shop the best place to clean up for the weekend. The hair cut is top notch, and there's a great sense of community and hospitality while you're in there. I found my barber for foreseeable future and I highly recommend you stop in and see for yourself.

Fast, they get haircuts done at maybe 15 minutes each, and I never have to wait too long to get into the chair. Have been a few times now and have been happy each time. I think pricing is reasonable.

He's the best with my 1 year old son, have been going there since he was 4 months. Hair cuts are always perfect and the shop is very welcoming and clean.
