Very relaxed atmosphere. Felt like family. My food was delicious penne ala vodka. Cappuccino and cheesecake really hit the spot the top of the night. Definitely will return again.Food: 5/5
Our first time at Sal's. We had a very pleasant unhurried dinner with five family members. The environment is comfortable and very pleasant. We had a round table which makes conversation easy. The service overall was very good with one small exception which was refilling water glasses. Food from appetizers to desserts was very good and plentiful. I rated it a four rather than a five based on what I and my wife thought was a need for a bit more seasoning. Overall a really pleasant relaxed dinner and lots of laughs with my adult Kids. My five year old granddaughter loved the Linguini with white Clam sauce and the Oreo ice cream dessert.
This was my first time at this restaurant ... The food was great. And the service was quick. It has a nice quaint feel there. I will definitely be returning.Food: 5/5
If you want the best Italian food and the best service, you must go here. Everything is as fresh as could be and and the staff welcomes you and treats you like family. This place has an amazing ambiance. I also order take out from them. Portions are generous and the selection is great. Perfect local spot with phenomenal food. Come hungry you won’t be let down!
Great Italian restaurant. Walked in and greeted by friendly owner and seated right away. Waiter was so nice and attentive. Delicious food, nice atmosphere. We were told the chocolate cake was house specialty so of course we had to try it, delicious and large portion I had to take most home. Owner checked on us to make sure everything was OK which was very nice, definitely a place for a great meal
Went as a last minute choice on a Saturday night. We had no reservations, but they seated right away. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We shared a white pizza, they are famous for it. We followed that with a shared mesclun salad with cranberries, walnuts and gorgonzola. It was excellent. My wife had Rigatoni alla Vodka with grilled chicken. I had the Cavitelli Spezzatino di Vitello. Pasta with veal, mushrooms, and peas in a brown sauce. I loved it. A chocolate velvet cake with espresso was a great finish. I would highly recommend Sals if you're in the Commack , Smithtown area. Cheers.
Visited Sal's for a midweek family luncheon. Nice antipastos to share, including zucchini and sausage, calamari, and a platter. Several choices for entree including salmon, chicken, pork, and pasta. The Mason Jar Bloody Marys were an interesting presentation mine with an orange garnish; my wife's with lemon, but they tasted great.
The food is freaking delicious and Sal and staff are very friendly and professional. My family been going here for years and never disappointed. Seafood salad is like eating in Heaven!!!! Escarole with garlic and oil was great!!!!!
New ownership is trash! It's not Sal's anymore, the family atmosphere is completely gone. This man treats staff who has been at sals for YEARS like dogs who have nothing on him, the soul purpose of my family coming here was the staff and the friendly and warm feeling you would get from each of them. Food is expensive and just doesn't taste the same without that family feeling and it is sad. It now taste like over priced cafeteria lunch. Never EVER will my family or myself be coming back and I'm glad staff knows each of their worth and is out of there! And to the new owner, what goes around comes right back around. Good luck to new staff who has to deal with a moron like that.
Great quality enjoyable food. Service attentive.Food: 5/5
