We've been making salad since before they were cool.

"We've been making salads since before they were cool. We believe a salad is only as good as where it comes from. That’s why we source the best growers for bigger taste. It’s why we chop fresh all day, every day. From our kale to our carrots to our quinoa, our promise is as fresh as it gets. Because we know, that you know, the foods you eat must do more than just taste good. The right foods can energize, empower and inspire."

So, I placed an order via the online app, for convenience because as we all know, lunchtime can get a little more than hectic. I placed my order around 12 for pickup at 1. That’s a whole hour. Not to mention there was a downpour. I got to the store at about 1:20. I approached the order pickup area and was greeted by an associate who looked through the ordersthere were about 6 but was unable to locate mine. She proceeds to ask another associate if she received/fulfilled the order. Just my luck, nope! Then, she asks the supervisor to come over and she does. She looks over the same salads in the pickup area for my name. Then, heads back to the computer where the orders are printed. She asked if I could show her an order receipt. I did not have my phone on me, so I had to go back to the car to retrieve it. I walk back in and head over to the pick up area yet again only to have to wait another 3 minutes for her to look at my order on my phone. She then prepared my order, walks over and hands it to me. Ok, so what happened?? Like was the order received or did someone handoff my order to someone else? Because there’s a printed sign that says” please show your proof of order/confirmation” something to that degree. At the end of the day, what are we honoring? No one apologized, nor was the supervisor at liberty to tell me what happened. I ordered online to save time. Instead, mine was wasted. Not good for business. 2 stars based on the quality and quantity of the salad.
In store experience is a 5. I have zero complaints. However, delivery gets like 2 stars. It's the typical case of people giving way less food when it's delivered vs ordered in person. The salad I ordered today through Doordash was half the size of the one at the store. It was so much smaller that they crammed 2 dressing containers inside the actual salad container! Why would they do that? To take up space and make it seem like I'm getting more salad? Also, on the app some ingredients are supposedly "premium", meaning you have to pay more for them, when at the store they are all the same unless you get extra ingredients. I don't know whose decision that was but come on... Anyway, just go in person. The experience is way better, fairer and more affordable. They have some delicious salads so it's worth the effort to leave the house or your job to go get one. Sadly delivery is a huge no, no.
I never went to Salad Works but I can honestly say I really enjoyed d sad I I ended up going 3 days in a row since it's on my way home from work. I passed up Halal Chicken & Lamb over Rice for Salad Works. 2 things I really didn't like and it may keep me from returning. I'm paying 13$ for a salad so if I ask for and extra thing of dressing I wouldn't think it's an issue or a charge. The first two days the girls gave me the extra and even a smaller sample of another dressing. So I tipped her. Today I go and when I walked in I was the only one snd I wasn't very friendly. They just stared and when I ordered my salad the girls were all Hispanic and spoke perfect English I'm sure they were American but when I when I asked for a second thing of dressing they started talking Spanish. It wasn't very nice. I find it very disrespectful to do that considering you English is as good as mine. I won't be going back.
I’m paid $14 salad and unfortunately only maybe 1/4 of my salad is green , this is not filling at all . The amount of dressing can literally making my salad as a stew . Do you guys really know how to make the portion right for regular person to have as a meal ?
Definitely overpriced, even when considering inflation. And to make matters worse, I am convinced I should throw the salad away, once I get back. The miserable and gloomy demeanor of the employees makes the product feel questionable for consumption, quite frankly. You want people who are serving food to at the bare minimum be smiling or speak politely. It's literally a 5 minute interaction, at most. Nobody, unless you're desperate for a non-fried, quick lunch, wants to eat food that came from curt and frowning people that act like they're doing you a favor. Unbelievable. Like no, raised prices won't make me feel like I'm getting better quality product, especially when the customer service is so off-putting. In fact, their rude attitude makes you wonder about the hygiene and sanitary practices. I don't recommend, unless these aspects are rectified.
Not much to complain about here. The prices are a lil on the high side. $44 for two adult and a kids salad but the salads don’t really disappoint.Recommended dishesGrilled Chicken, Smoky BBQ Crispy Chicken Warm Grain Bowl, A Grain Bowl Creation of Your Own, Half Signature Salad & Half Signature Sandwich, A Wrap Creation of Your Own
I had the most unpleasant experience at this location. We came in today to buy a salad. The 3 workers standing in the corner did not acknowledge me and laughed directly in my face. I am a part of the LGBTQ community and the disrespect shown to me and the blatant disregard for manners is astonishing. She laughed with her two colleagues right in front of my face and could not even ask me what I wanted to order. They then started speaking Arabic and laughed once again. I have never felt this publicly embarrassed. I will never return here and they should learn how to be educated, personable and overall not judgmental. They should be ashamed of themselves.
The salad is always fresh and it's nice that changes can be made to the salads shown. Every now and then you want to spice things up, or take it down a notch or so, and it's good that that is allowed. Dressings are plentiful and always fresh too. The salads can be turned into a Wrap or a warm Grain Bowl. It's a great place to get a great meal and without getting over stuffed.
Not really a fan of this place. I was here about a year ago and figured I'd give another go at it. The employee's seem miserable being there, zero effort in preparing my salad and mixing it up with dressing. Really turned me off for good. I'd rather go to Cava, spend an extra $2 and get a rocking salad with employees that smile.
Can't believe I didn't know about this place until a week ago! Exactly what I was looking for in a create your own salad place, good portion size, plenty of toppings to choose from and prices aren't bad. The soups and sandwiches look really good, but I haven't made it past the salads yet. Great rewards program too! I am their newest regular customer!
