Salina Area Technical College is a technical college located in Salina, Kansas. The school is coordinated by the Kansas Board of Regents and is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The college has been in operation since 1965 and currently offers associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in several different programs.HistorySalina Area Technical College opened in 1965 on the former Schilling Air Force Base with 189 students enrolled in nine programs. The college has grown to over 350 students in credit programs and over 500 students taking continuing education classes.In 2003, two new buildings were added to the SATC facilities.LocationNearby, Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus, where many SATC students participate in housing, student activities, and recreation.
