The Arrow Rock Community Fire Department merged with the Saline County Rural Fire Protection District in April 2015.
Tax supported fire district serving much of Saline County, Missouri with fire, rescue and emergency medical services. Station One (660) 886-3312 operates from the Marshall Fire Department 471 W Arrow St. Marshall, MO 65340. Station Two (660) 837-3479 operates from 113 S 6th St. Arrow Rock, MO 65320
The mission of the Saline County Rural Fire Protection District is to preserve life and property, care for and protect the citizens of our fire protection area by providing the best possible emergency response service. We achieve this through properly training our full time and volunteer staff as firefighters, medical first responders, and by offering public education in fire safety and prevention.
• FIRE SUPPRESSION - Crews trained and experienced to make an interior attack, rescue victims from a burning structure, and handle vehicle fire, and natural cover fires.
• MEDICAL - Emergency medical response in pre-hospitilization care and life saving techniques working in conjunction with Saline County Ambulance District.
• AIR MEDIC - Ability to call and land air medical services with pre-set landing zones.
• VEHICLE EXTRICATION – Experience working vehicle accidents on state roads and the interstate. Equipment and training to remove trapped victims from vehicles.
• HAZMAT - Gas detection equipment, training in hazardous materials and pipeline emergency response.
• MUTUAL AID - Agreements are in effect with Slater and West Central (Sweet Springs & Blackburn), and Glasgow fire departments.
