Salt City Barbershop is the go to place for anyone needing a haircut in the Salt Lake Valley. When you go to Salt City you know exactly what you will get before you even walk through the door, a great haircut, an amazing atmosphere, and great barbers who want to make sure all their customers leave satisfied. I have been going to Crystal and Salt City Barbershop ever since it opened and have never had anything short of a tremendous experience. Recently I have started taking my son to the shop as well and Crystal has been great with him from calming him down during his first ever haircut to making sure I am happy with his cut every time we go. If you are looking for a great place that is consistent and will never let you down I would definitely recommend Salt City Barbershop!!
Cole doesn’t miss, just moved from CA Super anxious about finding a new barber. The reviews don’t lie. Cole educated me on what he was doing, recommended some products to curl my hair, kept great vibes and conversation the whole time, adapted to my schedule. Thank you! The woman that cut my hair was fun and friendly, I really wanted to like my cut but as time goes by it's unfortunately clear it's she did a fairly bad job. The cut looks nothing like the photo I showed her, it's uneven, randomly hacked and pretty dorky looking in general. I'll have to get it fixed somewhere else. I was the only customer there and got in with her the day before, guess there was a reason for that This barbershop might be okay for men but apparently not for women.
There’s a reason their AVERAGE rating is 5 stars. It’s been really hard for me to find a barber that is consistently good, affordable, and has a great environment. I’m happy that I found Salt City, which hits all 3 of those. I would highly recommend to anyone that is folliclely challenged. Esteban gave me an amazing haircut with short notice and Rae, who I usually go to, is the best.
I was down and out looking for someone to cut my mop and shape my chin sweater... when I was sent a recommendation to visit Miss Rachel at her modest shop “The Grooming Room”. I was given the very best treatment sitting in a barber chair I’d ever received. A fantastic cut, an even better shave and a shampoo and style to die for. Fast forward 2 years later and the incredible Miss Rachel has turned her modest shop into what will soon be a juggernaut of cuts and trims that even the likes of James Dean and Uncle Jesse would be envious of. The whole crew at Salt City Barbershop will take care of you! I 100% guaranteed it or your money back. Probably not from them... or me. Just take the chance, it’s worth it.
Was working out of state and saw how highly rated this barber shop was. Well id have to agree it was a good experience and jeff did a great job making sure i was happy with my hair&beard would definitely go back next time im in town!
Got an awesome beard trim from Cole. Very cool place. Just walked in and they scheduled me for 30 minutes later. Friendly atmosphere and feeling great. Highly recommend.
Austin was good. Asked for a difficult cut and he delivered. Could have done without the angsty rap music going hard in the place the whole time.
I have been going to Rachel for nearly 2 years now and she has been fantastic. She has a great eye and helped me find a new style. And if you ever get a chance, you need to get her luxury shave. It is heaven. I have always been super pleased every time I walk out the doors. Salt City Barbershop is clean, airy, and friendly. They have done a great job designing the layout. They do take walk-ins, but appointments are recommended. The location is easy to get to in Midvale.
Great little barber shop. It is practically impossible to not interact with the whole staff and other customers, which is a good thing. The staff and customers I have seen frequent here have all been friendly with a professional and welcoming vibe. Miranda did an amazing job on my son’s mullet. He went in a little nervous but left with an awesomely handsome cut.
