Proudly say we've been going there for a year now for both Saturday brunch and dinner and have always had the best of experiences. The ambiance is great, love the interior décor and faux fireplace, the staff and managers have always been top notch and you can tell they love what they do at Salt. No matter how you dress, or what you order, you're always welcomed and are well taken care of. The food is not only well prepared but it comes out always with artistic flair. Prices are reasonable for the amount of talent back in the kitchen and the customer service we receive each and every visit. Highly recommend!
I wish I could give this place more than JUST 5 stars!! From the first time I called in to reserve the room, Christa was very pleasant and accommodating. I am a bit of a stickler when it comes to throwing great gatherings and she made it very easy for me. We reserved the private room for a bridal/lingerie shower. From the time we got out of our cars and walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by Josh, our waiter. He opened the door for us and the service from the beginning was nothing short of AMAZING!! Each individual lady was shown to the private room. I'm almost at a loss for words on how great the service was. I don't believe in my 30 years of life, that I have ever experienced service so great!! I was then in contact with Ray Allen sp. He too, showed us nothing but great service. He made sure that we had everything we needed. All who helped us, were so attentive and made each lady feel special. Kind words were used by all who were involved in helping us and I would rate the service alone, top notch!!! None of the ladies had ever been to the restaurant and they were all very satisfied with their food choice. When you have great food and great service, you have no reason to complain. Thus, Josh's great tip! He deserved every bit of it! I would DEFINITELY recommend this venue for any type of small gathering. I was amazed from beginning to end and due to the superb service, this will become one of the restaurants I frequent!!! We had great food and fun! Definitely the perfect place for a bridal shower! I wish I could just go on and on about it. Amazing....Simply Amazing!!!
I can't rate Salt either. Nice menu. Simple decor. Never got served. We waited for over 40 minutes on New Year's Eve with reservations and watched two parties of 8 get served drinks, appetizers and have each of their entrees ordered. We went to Noir and had a wonderful night. 5 stars for Noir.
Excellent service, very accommodating, will adjust menu items to meet your needs within reason of course. Any one of the wraps with a glass of wine makes for a perfect lunch. Sunday is my favorite day, Mushroom Omelet ask them to add a bit of spinach. Don't forget that glass of wine.
We set up a reservation for Valentine's day. We were not informed that they'd be using a special valentine's day menu. The menu was reduced to approximately 4 appetizers, 4 entrees and 2 or 3 desserts. Whatever creative or interesting meals you see on their website were replaced with more generic and expensive dishes. The prices were definitely inflated for the holiday. For an appetizer we got the crab tots. For entrees we ordered salmon with rice pilaf and vegetables. The rice tasted like cardboard and the vegetables were lukewarm and under cooked. They looked and tasted like they'd microwaved them in a plastic bag. Totally bland and uninspired dish. The whole meal with tip totaled close to 80. This was with waters and no dessert. It was a ripoff. I wish I was exaggerating. We won't be returning to Salt in the near future.
We went to Salt for brunch on Sunday and had the best meal and the best service. Sampled the Cini minis so good. The salt shoe omg amazing. The Panko breaded mac n cheese under a prime beef patty covered in fries with their homemade white cheddar sauce and BBQ sauce I could drink the white cheddar cheese sauce with a straw amazing. And the ambiance was fantastic.
I absolutely loved this place the first time I went. The next couple times I was underwhelmed by my food. They have great cocktails. I like the atmosphere. I just don't think the food is as good as it once was.
The decor is basics and looks like a middle aged woman went nuts with a glue gun. I'm surprised there wasn't any glitter. The food was really good can't complain.
Every time in Peoria I try to make it. Wonderful service, with the Height's best food. And, a reasonable price.
Simple the best dining experience in Peoria, above average in all ways, lives up to what you want in higher class dining, truly worth trying.
