Salty Jims Island Bar & Grill

Good place to stop in for a cold drink and some lunch... my personal favorite is the phillie minus the Mayo add banana peppers lol. Also awesome tacos on Thursday's Food: 3/5

I love neighborhood bars. I happened on Jim's after shopping for Toyota trucks. As I stepped in, the Allman Brothers were playing on the speakers, there were a few seats left at the bar and despite being busy I was acknowledged fairly quickly. I settled in and watched the Rays game while enjoying the Playlist. The beer was very cold and the patrons and staff warm. Ultimately I ended up getting food and watched the end of the game. I enjoyed the night thanks to all.

Great atmosphere and the food that we tasted was good! We didn’t plan on coming here but were just looking to pass some time before he went to dinner with some people later. It looks deceptively small from the parking lot but once you get inside the inside bar area with the pool tables is a decent size but the outside bar area is where we decided to sit. The pickles were fried freshly in what seems to be a tempura batter so the spears were still crisp and tangy. The bowl of chili was full of a rich tomato flavor with just a slight hint of a spicy bite at the end but they do have hot sauce to add. All the regulars looked to be having a good time and the music wasn’t too loud so there was a very nice relaxing vibe here. We would definitely recommend Salty Jim’s and would come back the next time we drive down from Orlando!

First timer today and the wings were as perfect as they get with how I ordered them….. Extra crispy soaking wet with hot sauce. The service was phenomenal as well! Definitely gonna be a go to from now on!

Very reasonable pricing. Friendly environment. Lots of excitement. Pool tournament going on. Ladies and Gents. Food galore.. and of course sports TV.

A true treasure of original Sarasota. Great music on Saturday and very good chicken wings. Pool tables if you can get one......Food: 5/5

It's a local hangout and what a hangout it is !!! FUN FUN FUN Knowing that the Bloody Mary's were the Hit and I see why. They also have a selection of craft beer and that reg stuff. Service was great, a definite return next time here !Service: 5/5

Stopped in for a couple of drinks, 1st timer. Band was good, even though the lead singer was on her way to hospital as we arrived. The show had to go on! They ran out of my Myers rum after 1.5 drinks. Common these days Found a $20 on the floor, gave it to the bartender. Prob. won't be back just because it is so far from where I live Met this guy, though....

3 Beautiful professional 7ft pool tables and attentive quality bartenders. Food is also available. Will be back for the pool tables and great service
