Salvation Army Garden

Wonderful charitiable cause and the store is pretty good with good prices. However, don't count on the hours as posted. It says 9 on line, it's actually 10, and they didn't open until 10:15... some organizational issues i guess. I donate & browse here instead of Goodwill, which is a business collecting inventory cost free, not a charity.

the place is relatively small, with a few racks of clothing that are mostly empty and winter gear. they have furniture, shoes, and some random assortment of householditems. i found some good movies for cheap, but that's about it. the workers are very nice!

Went there 2 months ago for utilities assistance while on my maternity leave. Still haven't heard back. Had to pay my bill by borrowing money. Dont waste your time here. You'll be in the dark. They only help who they want to. People they know get priority.

Stopped in here with my mother a few weeks ago. Found the store to be well organized and the cashier was so friendly! We told her we were on a short day trip to escape our every day routines and she recommended places to go when we came back. We picked up some great glassware that we didn’t know we needed and saw some furniture I really wish I could have hauled home. Prices are great and the location was very convenient and close to I-10. Glad we found this store!

After going here, with the kind employees and great prices, I don’t see how I could go back to goodwill. Goodwill is WAY over priced in this region for some reason, salivation army is as a thrift store should be! $4 dresses, $2-3 shirts. Not the biggest selection, but I still rather shop here any day.

*STRICTLY A REVIEW ON THE RETAIL SHOP NOT ON THE CHARITY ASPECTS* So this SA in particular is very hit or miss I agree. Very small sales area with really the only departments with things to offer being clothing or furniture. Nothing too nice in any other department. Goodwill doea price higher in some areas but I feel like the items are more quality. The donation handling is sloppy and not very welcoming. I will say that they have been much better at organizing and presentation and I have never been done wrong by the ladies at the register.

This is a very hit or miss shop. The sales floor is always very cluttered - merchandise is in piles on the shelves and can be hazardous to sort through. The aisles are narrow, and the books seem totally unorganized. However, every now and then you will find a great item for cheap, so it's worth a quick visit from time to time. However, most of the time it's better to visit the Goodwill around the corner on N Monroe St.

I've just recently been in several thrift stores in Tallahassee and this one is right up there at the top of my list. The prices are good, showing they know that not only are the items donated, but that people that shop in their store need to be able to buy items at a good price. Found several things that I bought for the families that I'm helping. I will be back and will be donating to them when I do my purge.

I stopped by to donate some really nice items that were in excellent condition. The man that was collecting donations did not even speak to me, he just walked back inside. He never offered to help me unload. Another man asked what were the items I was donating. He told me they dont accept baby items or toys.. so I went to goodwill they had someone walk out and helped me unload which is essential for me because I couldn't leave my infant in the car..

They have a good variety of stuff and with the sale price it was good. They have furniture and dishes. The store is clean and lis of parking. People please DONATE SUMMER CLOTHES FOR ALL. The cashier was nice and quick.
