The Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site, run by the Texas Historical Commission, is a historic house museum located in Paris, TX.
Built in the High Victorian Italianate style in 1868, the two-story Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site was the family residence of Sam Bell Maxey, a Mexican War veteran, Confederate general and two-term U.S. senator.
Tours are given on the hour starting at 9 a.m., with the last tour starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and starting at 9 a.m., with the last tour starting at 3 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday.
