Sam's Donut Shop

Not sure how this shop has such high reviews! Their glazed donuts are basically just deep fried dinner rolls. They aren’t sweet at all and very dry! I give 2 stars only because their Apple fritter is pretty good although very greasy. I prefer Jin’s!

OMG! Top ten donut shop i have ever been to. Doesn't matter which donut you get, they were all delicious. And the apple fritters were awesome. Dangerously awesome.

If you want a fresh donut and a selection of different ones, you have to get there early, late morning and after you will be getting the same donuts they made in the early morning hours. And don't be surprised if they don't have that specific donut that you're craving..lol.

We went there once and will definitely be returning. The prices were cheap for how good and fresh the donuts tasted. The staff were really nice. I definitely recommend stopping by and giving these donuts a try!

If I could give 0 stars I would the guy that took my order was very short and dismissive with me as I was inquiring about fresh donuts coming out I also inquired about the “now hiring” sign on the doer which has been on the door the last few times I’ve gone to the cleaners next door so I asked about them hiring for my cousin who’s looking for a summer job he was also dismissive in that as well then just walked away as I was asking about using the microwave and just waved me away when I was asking about it I am of African American decent I hope it wasn’t a race thing but it sure felt like it and I’ve never felt this way in my young life but this sure felt that way. I won’t be returning and I will definitely be telling my friends and family not to as well.

Very expensive. $16 for 1 dozen. Since they only accept cash I had to go to the gas station next door and got charged 2 fees total so it made my transaction more expensive. We had company at the house so there was no turning back once I left to get breakfast.

I drive from Knoxville to Tunica and I make it a habit to stop at Sam’s donut shop in Collierville. It is run by a resourceful Korean American women. They have a good selection, prices are good and the product taste is excellent. I have seen some other reviews that were very unfair and I just have to wonder why people would spew their hatred at a very hard working small business. If you want to support a small business in these tough times, get a coffee and donut at Sam’s and you won’t be disappointed and they will certainly put you in a good mood!

What is it with the Collierville donut shops? Ugh. They only had one Bavarian eclairs in the showcase but the cashier said they had more in back. When I got to the car and opened the box I saw one of the eclairs had what looked like a half-dollar sized bite out of the top. There was no frosting on that portion and it had an hole there in the donut just like a bite mark looks like. I showed the cashier and she said oh oh, and brought it to the back, where they just covered that part with more chocolate frosting. She asked me if it looked ok now. [insert crickets chirping] I asked her if somebody bit it. She didn’t answer and asked me if it looked ok. I asked again if someone had bit into the donut. And without answering my question she asked me again if it looked ok. Ugh. So I just left, unhappy, and tossed the donut when I got home. Won’t be back there again. We have been there before but never had service like that. Yuck. What’s happened. How they could knowingly place a donut like that in the box it wasn’t covered by another donut so it was in plain site, and then not properly remedy the issue by giving me a new donut, just astounds me. Now I don’t think it’s a bite mark only because they’re surrounded by donuts all day long I can’t believe they’d just take a bite of one and try to sell it. I mean I really hope my logic is sound. But geez. Oh and the eclairs I ate the other one have cream on both ends but not the middle. How weird.

love their donuts but wish they stayed open at least 30 minutes longer i don't ever have time to come after work because they close at 3
