The sign says Sam’s sports bar now. It’s a small dive bar but the food was absolutely amazing and affordable. I got the prime rib sandwich and I’ve never had one so flavorful and fresh fries with savory au jus sauce. My husband got the southwest burger and it was high quality, flavorful with a bite. Only suggestion is to ask for more house sauce. Thick burger, very crispy and fresh tasting bacon. Would recommend to any one.
Couldn't be more happy with this place! Went to see Smile Empty Soul and was amazed at the friendliness of the staff including the bartender Brian aka Hendo. Drinks were on point and when we ordered food......well that done it!!! Id give this place a 50 star review if I could. Best moz sticks, bbq tenders, and rings I've had in a very long time....if ever!
I had a enjoyable meal there, me and my Babe. We had 24 wings and 4 drinks and a beer. Total was $104.00. I was ready to put my finger down my throat and give it back. It wasn't worth that. But I paid it and yes I still tipped. But listen learned. That was a robbery.Food: 3/5
Didn't try the food I was here to watch my favorite local band perform. BYZANTINE. VERY small venue upstairs where the "stage" is located and the bands perform. Very cramped, crowded, and hot. The opening band "Pottera" not kidding really the name of the opening band, had everything cranked up to 11 but not in a good way. Feedback and squils had my head ringing and ears hurting so bad that we left and didn't even get to see the band we went to see. However the downstairs bar area was dirty and dingy and the restrooms were absolutely horrible.
Cool atmosphere to hang out grab a drink and bite to eat. They have a juke box as well. Perfect place to hang out after a concert. They are open late.Food: 3/5
Great bar! Brian is a great bartender! Could use a bathroom remodel, but its part if the atmosphere. Love it!Service: 5/5
Went in for the Game of Thrones themed brunch. Very creative. Was the first brunch I've been to there. All of our food was great. I had steak and eggs and my friends went with the Lazy Dragon alligator. I didn't get any of the alligator but it looked fantastic. Won't be my last trip to Sam's. Was a little slow getting food and service but overall very good. Gravy was excellent.
Cool little dive bar with good food. I got the chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese. The bartender warned me it was spicy and I was like, yeah that's cool, thinking it's just pepper jack, how hot can it be? Well, it was the hottest damn cheese I've ever had. I didn't even know cheese got that hot. It's a good heat tho. I'm 100% ready to hurt again.
Stopped by here while driving through the area on a road trip. Food very average, but the prices are very reasonable. Would recommend to those looking for solid food and a decent atmosphere.Dine in: Yes
Solid bar food in old dive bar setting in downtown area-look for on street parking or nearby parking garage. Bathrooms in the basement were a bit creepy. They were clean but my wife thought it was strange that the ladies room stalls had curtains instead of doors. The door to the ladies room was propped open to the hallway- I guess so you don't have to touch it. Inside the ladies room another door was partially open to another dark room -perhaps a cleaning closet. Generally creepy bathroom per the ladies - but it was clean.
