I've only been attending this school since late march and if I could I would give this school a rating on -5. This school has little to no funding whatsoever, the teachers fail to teach and seem to care more about dress code and students bringing in outside food rather than doing their job. All of the money for funding seems to go to the athletics programs rather than anything else and also the staff is very rude, especially the staff in the office and the Vps. Overall, I would not recommend this school to anyone.
Academically speaking, I thought the school itself was great and I loved the advanced classes. They really helped when it came to college. As for the social aspects like senior prank week, I thought the administration was lacking. This school says it has a zero tolerant on bullying but fails to do anything when it comes to students being sexually harassed or cyber bullied. During the last few weeks of my senior year a student tragically ended their own life. I loved this school and loved attending classes, but when you find yourself the target of a group or your whole student body, you don’t want to come learn anymore. Good luck to the future students since the renovations aren’t going to be done until 2020.
The school is an over all good place. There are a few disrespectful students and some teachers aren't the greatest. It is a good environment and most teachers help the students with problems, wheatear it's problems at home or at school. They do the best to keep the school in the best condition possible and keep harm from coming to the students who attend.
Clemens is a very clean school. Its hard to find any trash in the hallways. I love this school. The most teacher are nice but there are a few that can be a little mean. Everyone has there favorite teachers and mine has to be my german teacher. Good luck to all new students coming into Clemens. High school can be rough but find a way to get on the buffalo for buffalo pride!
Thos school is great. There is a problem with drugs, but what school doesn't have that problem. There are a lot of people and it's completely possible for anyone to find a group that fits them. I've had an over all good experience. If you want to keep you child sheltered, definitely do not send them here. Otherwise, go for it. Junior
Samuel Clemens is one of the better schools in the area. Our teachers are great and our sports are improving. The fine arts department could have a little more support but overall everyone is welcome and friendly. The academics are very competitive.
I moved away but while I was there, I met the rudest people ever. The school is full of druggies and almost every guy has been sent to CAP. It is a living hell. The teachers don't care, and the school has to bring in the dogs almost every week to smell the lockers for drugs. I rate this school a 2 because of how bad my experience was, and how my friends, that are still there, feel towards the school. I do not suggest sending your kids there.
Im editing my review because i am now finished with this school so i dont have to worry. This school sucks. Literally; like if you go to them and tell them there's issues with other students as of bullying or harrassment they SAY they're going to do something but really just ignore it. Also since all the school shootings been going on everyone believes the "edgy" kids are the ones to blame so they target them. WRONG! I kept getting called names just of how i dressed?! If Youre not popular, good in sports, or even what they remotely think what "normal" is, youre not accepted here. Also the construction is hella annoying but that should be over in 2020..SHOULD. The staff gives off more attiutde than the students do, and they slack off a lot. The staff also care about attendance and grades way more than how you're doing or even notice a change in their studentsas of like suicide watch or at home issuesI have only been there for 2 and 1/2 years but i would not recommend any other teen to be put through this hell. Good luck other buffs stay strong.
Not only do the students all want to kill themselves here, which is said on a daily basis, the German teacher Frau Alvis specifically likes to pick on certain students. Don’t try and contact your parent, she’ll physically grab your phone. If you think you can go to the office and try to get help, you’re wrong. They will just pretend to understand but then they will completely ignore you and nothing will change.
Samuel Clemens is a great high school. There are high standards for both academics and athletics at Clemens. The student body for the most part is friendly and has great merit. The only thing that could use improvement is the building as it is very old.
