My son’s team played baseball here this weekend…the field could use some work but all in all it’s a decent field. The most important thing I want to note is that there is no shade for you in the bleacher area so make sure to bring tents.
Great evening watching the UTSA Runners play Rice. Fun, affordable place to watch live entertainment, visit with friends and cheer on the Roadrunners!
Place is clean, and the baseball field is well maintained. I'm not sure if the staff I interacted with were volunteers, students, or employees, but all were nice. Ticket prices are cheap! Paid $5.00 for today's game. I do not know if the prices fluctuate. Plenty of space to sit under the trees behind 3rd base dugout. All the bleachers and the berms along 1st base/left field do not have shade. Traditional concessions are expensive. Today a Gatorade is $4.00, with water being $3.00. Beer and wine are $4-$5.00. There is plenty of space for the young ones to run around, away from the stands/bleachers. There was a food truck outside the front gate. Purchases made at the truck were allowed into the field. If you return a caught foul ball, they'll give you a coupon for a restaurant, I'm not sure which one though.
Oak trees around the entrance of the stadium. Field kept in great shape. Stands surround home plate up to each dugout.
Small ballpark with limited options even for a college team. Best eat beforehand and come to watch a very good UTSA baseball team.
For a D1 baseball program, I expected nicer facilities. They only have a very small concession stand with offerings equivalent to a small high school. There was a Food truck just outside the entrance gate which had delicious food & fairly priced.
I took my 8-year-old son for his first day of soccer beautiful Stadium great time little hot but overall wonderful experience thank you UTSA for providing the soccer field.
We played soccer here with i9. The field is nice turf but there are no lawn chairs or canopies allowed on the field. There is one small set of bleachers for every 2 teams or in some cases no bleachers at all so definitely not even close to enough seating for everyone and there is no shade whatsoever on the field - a dangerous situation in this Texas heat for the very young, very old, or the infirm. They also claim there are to be no snacks or drinks in disposable cups on the field but good luck enforcing that nonsense with a small army of toddlers and young children.
They have a large track around the field that is in serious disrepair. I was enjoying a light run around it and a member of a children's sports class told me I was not allowed to run on the field for fear that the children would copy me and injure themselves. Beyond that, working water fountains and plenty of parking
The fields are very nice here. My son has his soccer games her and it's nice to not have to worry about mud, grass stains, etc.
