It's a cute little train ride and fun experience to see the park. It makes stops at the Witte museum, the Doseum, and the tea gardens before circling back to the zoo station. 4 stars because its rather loud, both the speakers and the track. it can be a bit much for sound sensitive kids, especially during the tunnel when the riders are encouraged to make more noise. Overall, was a fun experience, but just be wary for sound sensitive or easily over stimulated kids.
This is the BEST activity, especially for kids! The depot is located in the Brackenridge parking lot, behind Starbucks. It's very hard to miss, especially with the train whistle blowing. It's a special San Antonio tradition enjoyed by generations of families. During certain times of the year, you can get on and off the train at different stops in the park, perfect for visiting the Witte Museum or DoSeum. You'll cross over the San Antonio river, go through a little dark tunnel, and more. Very toddler and kid friendly. Afterwards, walk to Kiddie Park for more fun rides and visit the San Antonio Zoo!
Fun and a relaxing way to end the day at the Zoo, but the train is extremely bumpy and doesn’t go in the Zoo at all. There’s absolutely no view inside the Zoo either. It could be called the sidewalk train or the field train and that would be fine….the name is very misleading.
I Will Be 65 Year's Old On August 14th 2023, I Remember The Brackenridge Eagle Old Smokey And The Price Was 0.25 To Ride In The 60s And I Tried To Ride The Train On August 14th 2022 And It Poured Down Rain, I Am On A VA Approved Scooter, Riding The Train Would Bring Me Back To My Childhood Memories
They have new trains which is great, but the view is basically like driving through a landfill. Maybe clean up the huge piles of trash everywhere?
Our granddaughter loves the train We take her as often as possible. Keep up the great work So much fun!!

If this exists, surely google maps has no idea how to get there. Hard to know if it’s the fault of the place or google. Oh well.
