The SBRSL is a depository of seeds held in trust for gardeners. Gardeners come to the library and borrow seed for their garden. Gardeners grow the plants in their garden and at the end of the season, they let a few plants ‘go to seed.’ From those plants, they collect seeds to return to the Library to replenish its inventory. All seeds are free to the public.

What kinds of seeds are we looking for?
- Edible plant seeds
- Seeds from plants that attract pollinators
- Native seeds (not “wild” caught, but from someone’s yard)
- Anything that seems interesting, but no marijuana!
Seeds can be brought in any reasonably sized containers, as long as they are sealed to prevent escape! They will be repackaged in envelopes. Thank you for supporting this new community resource!
